Well honestly i think that it is ok...but yeah...we would all love it to have lots more but you can have everything that you want you know?

16-bit screens (2^16 colors) consume more energy, i really can't see any other reason (other than cost)

pocket pc phones all have 12-bit (2^12 colors) like the p800 probably also due to battery life since all other non-phone pocket pcs have 16-bit color screens.

by comparing pansonic gd87 (2" 16-bit TFT screen) battery life with other color-screen clamshell (and candybar) phones you'll see why the gd87 has a shorter battery life.

all those nice japanese phones you see posted here and there have amazing features, but short battery life.
