The SE W300i is now on the Cingular Extras site here:http://www-xl.cingularextras.com/fu...y_ericsson&dc=0

I guess this means it has been approved.

Yeah, I guess they are still updating it or something.

I'm not really interested in the phone. It's more of a low-end music phone for people who can't afford SLVR's .

You can't be serious...the slvr is very cheap. This phone has more functionality then that phone.

my good firend just got a slvr last night....
pretty crappy. i like the look and feel but the interface is SOOOOO SLLOOWWW and it should support drag and drop music for itunes on the phone but u actually have to use itunes.... which again slows down my pc since it uses up so much ram

whats the new format of the memory card on this w300??

I agree, but this LOOKS cheaper, and if it LOOKS cheaper to the customers than people assume it is. There's no way it could be priced at $199.99 like the SLVR. This is meant to be a low-end music phone. Cingular will definately price the W810i much higher.

Based on the nonbranded/unlocked W300 prices(275-299), most likely Cingy will price it on par with the SLVR or maybe $25-50 less.
From what people said to me upon seeing my Z530, it sure caught a few locals interests... I've probably had more people thinking I had VerizonWireless's music phone than being a typical GSM flip.

Hopefully when Cingular launches the W300, they demo/sell it with the black faceplate as standard or people will get the impression the phone is a "POS" ROKR/SLVR wannabe. Ever since the Z520 recall, many dealers/corp reps I've chatted with avoid showing customers SonyEricssons in fear of "returns" and having to sell the W600 instead.
Personally I was going to wait till the W300 but didn't like the Walkman branding... it looked very unprofessional. Maybe when my contract expires I'll renew just to get the W300 and wait another year to switch after the rename-somehow it'll be neat to have one of the last "Cingy" branded SE phones

The z710i is very professional looking. I bet you cingular picks it up. I would get that instead if they do.
