A few Questions about the XV6700

Hi everyone:
I just purchased my phone a few days ago, and I love it so far. I have yet to run any of the hacks in here, but I'll certainly be doing so. I'm new at this, so I have a few questions, and I was wondering if someone could give me some direction.
1) Is there a way to uninstall the VZW programs without doing the hard reset? There are a few of them I want to take off (MMS video, etc) but I want to keep my EVDO connection, etc. My main goal with this is to bypass the Wi-Fi/Phone not being able to be turned on at the same time. The rest is just a bonus. A more extensive Remove Programs would be nice!
2) Is there any hack that will allow us to play files from Media Player via the blue tooth headset? Is it worth it? What kind of battery time is there on a bluetooth headset before it dies? In addition, I've seen a few threads that indicated that there is an imperfect way to run MS Voice Command via the headset -- how imperfect is this? Is it just quirky and sometimes I have to repeat stuff, or is a major PIA?
3) Finally, is there a way to lock the screen WITHOUT turning the phone off? It would be really nice to be able to turn the backlight off, put it in my pouch, and not worry about the screen getting accidentally bumped when I button it shut or something. I've only seen this kind of feature available with the screen shut off (tap of power button) rather than backlight shut off (hold down button 3 seconds)
4) How much longer does the extended battery last than the regular? I am NOT getting good battery power from my phone at all, and I almost completely run out of power after about a 12 hour day (phone mostly idle, maybe make 1 or 2 calls and browse the internet a few times.)
Thanks a bunch for all your help! I'll probably think of a ton of more questions, and I've tried to run searches on a lot of these issues and couldn't find all the specifics of what I'm looking for.
Great forum!!

I am pretty sure that the tap of the power button at the top of the phone only turns the backlight off, or at least turns the backlight off and puts the phone in some low power-usage mode. The phone stays on when it is in the mode, so you will still receive calls. I believe Wi-fi doesn't stay on at the press of this button because I use wi-fi on this phone all the time and it shuts off as soon as I press the power button, but not for a bad reason. It's because I think wi-fi drains the battery much faster than it would with phone mode on. You will still receieve phone calls if phone mode is on, though.
As for uninstalling VZW add-ons, the only one listed on these forums is the hard-reset method so I doubt there is, or else it would be in a sticky.
Your second question isn't really an XV6700 question so I would not expect to see many responses to it here under this forum, I would ask it somewhere else under some bluetooth forum/sub category or something, where it is more likely to be seen by others that own these devices. I'm not saying this is the WRONG place for it, because you are being specific to the XV6700. I can say those bluetooth stereo headsets are expensive. I saw some at Radio Shack for $120, and they were one of the only items that weren't on sale (store closing and almost everything was marked down except for these headphones).
Your battery problem does not go unnoticed. A lot of people have made the switch to the extended battery because they are heavier users, but I havn't yet because I'm afraid of making my phone larger than it already is. I wish I knew the extra time it gives as well. I have a car charger as well as the home charger and I charge it whenever I can to keep me going through the day so that I don't get caught away from home or the car with a dead battery.

Thanks for your response. I've been playing around with the phone and discovered quite a few things.
Media Player/Audio files CAN be played via Bluetooth -- just hit the Talk button on your blue tooth headset, and this sends all audio to the headset automatically -- including, believe it or not, MS Voice Command. (at least through mine. I have the motorola H500)
Voice Command DOES work through the headset -- the only downside, is that the only way it can be activated is by pressing one of the buttons on the phone itself. But all of the audio, etc, works. In the case I have, the PIE button is accessible on the side, so I have set this as my voice command button and now can do everything via the blue tooth.
I figured out the power button thing -- I had just been dimming the backlight and putting it away. With screen off, no problem.
Thanks for your answers! Turning the screen off, my battery seems to be doing a LOT better, so hopefully I won't need the extended one -- as you said, the phone's big enough!
One thing I have noticed -- it's happened twice now -- when I leave my phone in the cradle all night long, in the morning when I try to turn it on, it won't work. I have to soft reset. Anyone else have this issue?
