well I finally got a phone that will accept ringtones by e-mail and such!

I sent some mp3s to the phone and they all sound like crap. Granted, its a cell phone, yes, but they can sound better.

What do you all set as far as sound settings? I use Audacity, and basically they are just regular mp3 files saved at a lower bitrate. Do you all adjust the equalizer? Help me out here!!

I use Dbpoweramp to convert my mp3s into a 16bit 16khz mono wav file after that you can use audacity to trim that wav file the way you like and then export to 4bit ima adpcm mono wav format. After that rename the file extension to .mid and then transfer to your Xcursion.

ok i have a problem I use dbpoweramp to convert my mp3s into a 16bit 16khz mono wav then i use audacity to export to a 4bit ima adpcm mono wav format rename it and send it to my phone it receives it plays it but when i click on save it jus sits there wat am i doin wrong

forgot to mention that the file needs to be no larger than 200K. sorry

I have to try the DBPoweramp. I have used it before, but I forgot how to do it. I e-mail actual mp3s to my phone...cricKet service accepts it and it will download it to the phone.

it was 83k and it still didnt do nothing

make sure the adpcm file is 4bit 16khz mono also.
