Using 8125 as an MP3 player: How to lock the keypad and control volume?

I use my 8125 to listen to mp3s sent to my bluetooth headset as I work. After placing it in the supplied belt pocket, buttons get pushed and applications get opened accidentally as I work...many of them causing the mp3 files to stop playing.
I've started Media Player, then locked the keypad, but I can't adjust the volume. If someone approaches me while I'm listening to music, I can't mute Media Player or even lower its volume--all keys are locked.
Anybody have a solution? Cell phone makers HAVE to know that active people use these things as mp3 players, and need an appropriate keypad locking feature.
