It's not pointless... because if u remove and connect the cable many times u will screw up your battery... trust me... it's really drainable when doing so.

Found a problem and a solution.
If your SOUND appears Distorted when you play prerecorded videos like movies or anything like that in the Phone's Video Player, then set Vibe Sync: ON in Setup> Initial Setup.

I'm no longer able to sync my v360 with my imac via bluetooth

it still works via usb so it's not THAT big of a deal, but it's still a minor annoyance

anyone else have this problem or possibly a solution?

I installed Yuet's MP and it's pretty cool but I saw some stuff on Mr. Hollow's V360 MP list that I would like to see. How do I backup the java applications, skins, and/or icons that are on my phone now so that I can mix and add those back as I see fit?

P.S. I know I have seen a list of SEEM edits for other phones, I would like to know where I can find a list for the V360. A suggestion might be for those of us that build MPs in the future, (if I figure all of this out), that we list the SEEM number at the beginning of each line when we tell what our MP has enabled/disabled. Just an idea.

This looks really cool. I downloaded rsd lite 2.6, but its not recognizing my phone. I tried setting the phone in bootloader and it is still not recognizing it. Have an idea?

well the bluetooth won't really work at all, the computer recognizes the phone, but won't actually interact with it, it just freezes the phone up

the clock I figured out, you have to turn autoupdate off, change it to 12 hr time, then turn autoupdate back on (well you don't HAVE to turn autoupdate back on, but it stays in 12 hr time even if you do)

Are all the installation steps in the download file? Also, if I put this pack onto my V360, do I run the risk of anything not working correctly? I need my V360 to run smoothly, also so I can use WAP/GPRS connections and use everything else effectivly!

everything works fine.
You'd have to reconfigure your GPRS/MMS connections though because there are only Orange Romania included.
There shouldn't be any risks involved, and yes it does run smoother!

How do I put this onto my mobile? Do I need to use a program? And which program would it be? How long will it take? By putting this onto my phone, if I want my mobile to go back to normal, am I able to delete it or do a master reset to get the normal V360 settings/firmware? Or will I have to download new firmware? I need as much help as possible, I'm going to put it on tonight. Cheers

Thanks alot for your help, I'm new to doing stuff like this to mobiles lol

I use RSD Lite 2.4 to flash the phone with the MP. Don't ask for this software here because you won't get it (considered warez). Try googleing it or any peerp to peer software. If you want to go back to normal you'll need to find the original firmware for your phone as flashing the phone changes the software on the phone, so the original is no longer there. A master reset will only change any of the settings to the MP and take it back to its original state. Hope this helps.

I'm not that keen on reflashing my phone again with another firmware because i've already started working on v1.1 of my monsterpack and i'd loose some stuff if i did that

No i didn't create any E398 MPs. Also my first release of my MP which was in a beta state was released somewhere in MARCH but only for some romanian chaps to test it.

Tell me what you'd like to add to your mp or anything like that and i will help you

Hi. My MP won't lock your phone to any Network. it's firmware was based on a cosmote greece original firmware when i started work on it.
If you got RSD Lite 2.4 or 2.5 it's really easy... All you have to do is browse for the .shx file of my monsterpack. select it and then flash it! that's all.

not really.. When you press START it should restart your phone in Bootloader mode.
if not manually start in bootloader.
as for the original firmware i have about 21 firmwares at home for v360

u should find a v360 original firmware on www.motofon.ru or anywhere else

Ishell is a new function on itunes, that works like a new menu, and on my version includes, an fullscreen image viewer, can change the skin withou uninstall... but i still have the problem with the menu...
mobile qq, we know how to use it here in brazil, and looks possible...
about operator? why place something, isnt better none, so nobody would complain?

just asking, not complaining, my v2 is almost done, when i finish it will flash urs...

MrHollow, I flashed it to my phone, and OMG! Works like a charm! Love it! 2 things though! Could I PLEASE remove the MrHollow from the Internal screen under where it says my Network, and could I also cutomise the External screen when opened? That would be fantastic if you could help me with that! I absoloutly LOVE it! It's awesome! Also if I want to put new skins to my mobile how do I go about that? Cheers! MrHollws MP = AWESOME! HEHE Oh one other thing, it's not letting me download Instant Messaging (Which is provided by my Network, and is a Java application where you can run MSN Messenger and Yahoo off your mobile) Is this because of the phone now? Or not?

No no, What I mean is, on the External screen when opened, it says: MrHollows Monster Pack V360, and on the Internal Screen, it says MrHollw MP (Under where it says my Network Name) I want to know if I'm able to change these? So it doesn't say that anymore? Is there a program I can get to configure it? Or are you able to help me? Thanks heaps!

when using the speakerphone, closing the phone disconnects the call

I often talk to people on my speaker phone and I like to have the phone closed (less likely to get damaged)

you know of anyway to fix this?

You have to re-configure the mobile to your service providers information:
Menu > WebAccess > Web Sessions > New Entry.
You will need to know all the information from your service provider.
Or, if you contact their customer service they may be able to send the settings to your mobile. If thats the case, ask them for the MMS settings aswell.

Okay, thats the MMS settings is that correct?
You need to go to Menu > Messages.. Then hit the TOP MENU BUTTON, not the circle in the middle > Message Setup > MMS Message Settings > Server Info: > mms > TOP MENU BUTTON > Edit
Then under:
Service Name: thats where you put wap.voicestream.com
Server Name: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Web Session Name: > Change, then choose the applicable option.

Mr Hollow, you should enable quad band so we do not need to seem edit, asides from that this is an amazing MP, thanks alot for creating it, i was waiting for a really good MP for a while.

well for us North American users the quadband is great and we can test it for ya, i already enabled the quadband and its working great, i didnt even think about the european triband when i flashed and then i went out last nite and realized i wasnt getting the Edge icon and then in Field Test mode i saw i wasnt on 850.
i also wanted to add that i love all of the little touches and details you put into this MP, the custom startup and shutdown screens, the java loading screen with a wallpaper from import tuner mag, and a few more small things that make it really custom. i had one question tho, how can i change the custom CL image on the outside LCD?? i want to go back to the custom LCD text i had before or just have my operator name there like it was when i got it.

to customize your outside text you have to edit seems 0061, 0062 & 004a. on seem 004a you have to change the hex on offset 27 to 01 for pictures and 00 for text.
seems 0061 & 0062 save either the text to be displayed or the path to the outer lcd picture.

using p2k tools (or anything else that will show the drives and files on the phone, you can even navigate their on the included phone explorer java program) find "cl.gif" in a/mobile/system, replace it with any gif, but it must be 96 pixels wide, and 80 pixels high

u must extract the language from another langpack with SHX Codec and replace one in this shx in the langpack with SHX Codec again!

My RSD Lite version is 2.5, tried 2.4 also. My v360 bootloader is 80D0, maybe it has something to do with this?

yep. that would be it. u should find a SHX with 08D0 Bootloader extract it and replace the one in my MP

the v80 isnt clamshell but it has the option to put a sound when u swivel it open .maybe if sum1 figures out how it works on that maybe we can implement that on the v360.

with respect to ur mod, how i can use ur drm "fire cube" on other MP , cuz i like to have the flip closed mode, u know wut i mean

i just tried to replace the drm file using SHXCoDec but no luck i only got ur signal and battary icons , and replacing the flex from other MP isnt working too

so any advices

it's pretty difficult to make a MonsterPack... actually it's difficult to extract each CG by itself.
Mostly you need to make all the modifications on your mobile. Then make a backup with FLASHBACKUP wich takes about 1-2 hours.
it will create a .bin file. You'll need to edit the .bin with a HEX Editor and go to the end of each cg addresses (which you take from SHX CODEC from any random .shx v360 firmware) delete everything from the end, go to the start address of the same cg and delete everythin till the beggining and you should have a CG. save it as a CG<NR> where NR is the codegroup number u used the adress from and there u have a CG. then do the same with all the CGS. when you have them all you can repack a SHX and you're ready to go

What i wrote up there is what you have to do but it no details. just to give u a heads up on what you are supposed to do!

I am lucky enough for my wife to have the same phone as I do and I am currently working on making a backup and MP of the original T-Mo setup. I will post it as soon as I can. It will be my first attempt so this is not going quickly.

can you explain this a bit more?? I don't understand how/why this would be the case? The MPT charge your phone when connected to USB, so I assumed it was `within tolerances' for charging the v360. I've used my old V3 wall charger to charge my v360 too...the amps are the same, just a lower voltage, so it just takes longer. Is this not a good idea?

no one had that problem... that is mostly because of a screw up on your phone... try formating your card with the phone... it should work after that!

I have a couple of quick questions for you regarding your MP (forgive me if they're a little bit newb-esque).

1. When I get to flashing it to my unlocked v360 (haven't got it yet, and I don't want to mess up the wife's... yet), can I just flash portions of it, or is it an all-or-nothing kind of thing?

2. If I FlashBackup it "before" I apply your MP (which I intend to do), can I use that backup file to regain aspects of it original state, or reset it completely back to factory specs?

I'd really appreciate any insight you can give me.

One think that I can't get done though is to rename the Orange web sessions to Rogers.
I've added Rogers as the default service and both SMS and WAP works but I can't get rid off of the Orange ones.
Any help and tips how to deal with that would be appreciated.

Use that seem to replace the one at 01a8 to 0001
try not to screw up the seems when you upload this one.
I dunno about p2ktools. you're the only one to report this problem. i dunno what to say... try a MASTER CLEAR and then put the MonsterPack again.

1. i have no clue what you want to do.
2. you must configure a websession and then add it as default and you should be set
3. Go to www.yamigo.com and check that site out... IM kinda is sucky...
If anyone knows a service better than yamigo.com please let me know.

The Pinball I have is for my E398, and it's not working on the V360 -- I'd like to somehow get ahold of this Pinball version.

I'm running a different MP on my device, and don't want to use this one (no offense!) -- just after the Pinball.

Actually, if that were the case you would be guilty of distribution of a copywritten work and I would be as well, for obtaining it. You're wrong again. It is a big difference between claiming money for something you do not have the rights for and distributing something and not ask anything in return.
Even so i don't live in the USA so i cannot be bothered and even more you cannot proove that the motorola software belongs exactly to my phone

As for the Game .. hahha you have absolutely NO IDEEA whatsoever what you are talking about. The game has not been distributed illegaly hence you cannot download and install it from anywhere and as i released the monsterpack you are allowed to use it with the PHONE SOFTWARE that i have released here.
It has not been "Distributed in an unlimited form" it is distributed with MY PHONE SOFTWARE to which i have a license to use on.

wirelessdude04, for extended video recording get seem 004e_001, and set offset 412 to "28", it's probably set at "1" as default I think. For styles get 0032_001, and in offset 81, bits 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 should be set to 1. This is for black and white, bluish, antique, reddish, and greenish. To get the "videos setup" menu as a submenu in "Videos", go to seem 0032_001 offset 82 and set bit 0 to 1 and you'll get a pretty handy videos menu to change size, colors, quality, and other stuff.

2. When writing texts, the default character for the 1 key was a period. Now it's the @ symbol.

Now what do I use to put my MP3 ringtones on my phone. I was using the mototunes, cause I installed itunes on my phone before I put this MP on. But I see that mototunes is on the phone, so do I use mototunes to put them on the phone too? And what purpose is it to have mototunes on the phone. I just thought that the sole purpose of this software was to transfer ringtones to newly itunes enabled phones.

So I fixed #1 by re flashing the MP. And #2 appears to be part of version AB. So I went back to 86

@kingbapho... tkx for the appreciation... i dunno really what to say if it would work... if you do have bootloader 08.A0 it should work cause i'm pretty sure the adresses for most of the stuff wouldn't be changed... it's not a big difference like from v3 to v360
I haven't tested it on a v361 so i cannot know... The coolest thing u can do is BRICK IT

but for v360 u can unbrick it with no problems by reflashing "*" + "#" + "POWERON" to enter flashmode and rewrite an original v361 firmware if this one fails. remember to only flash if u have bootloader 08.A0

@afgrico... Okay here it goes... u insert songs and stuff with the program i included in the archive... Mototunes. U plug your phone in CARD MODE, connect the phone to mototunes... add the songs in the list and the program will copy them on the card and add the playlist

it's as easy as that.

as for the banner i frankly don't remember how i changed that. I did that like 7months ago and i completely forgot... not to mention that i have deleted most of my work and kept only the shx for the flashing... It was something to do with modifying a file in HEX mode...

@king... when i was doing the monsterpack in MAY the only way of backing up a v360 was with Flashbackup... the problem would have been putting the firmware back on the phone because that was pretty tricky and it involved hex editing.

As far as using a downloading application there is always flashget ( i dont know if your using it but it is a suggestion ) or you could get the windows version of wget ( a really nifty linux app

) which would do the same thing

Hey Diabolic I am really liking Mr. Hollows MP. Awesome startup and shutdown. Thanks for fixing it for us. This MP is lacking alot of features I have gotten used to though like Usb charging (Simple enough I fixed that). And Flip close functions. I like your config over Yuets. Not sure why. Could you possibly upload your seem for flip close so I can use it with this MP. I know I can seem edit the key map individually but I did that the other day and messed something up. Im having trouble flashing MrHollows MP to my v360.. the phone screen says bootloader ver.08.A0..... ok to program usb trans mode... and then the usb connection from my pc disconnects.. tried many times and same thing happens.. no flashing occurs.. any suggestions on to why the usb connection is dropped? its Rogers branded.. and is an unlocked phone.
