XV6700 Pocket PC "Warning" when placed in cradle to sync

Okay I use Wi-Fi a lot and I noticed that whenever I go into town and use a different wi-fi location to connect I have trouble connecting back to my home wi-fi, and whenever I click Network Cards inside of Connectin Settings I get the option to Configure Network Address instead of what I normally get, which is a list of all the wi-fi locations that the phone has detected. I think I changed a setting in there that is causing me to get this error message every time I sync to the computer:

Pocket PC Networking

Unable to obtain a server-assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings.

Sometimes the wi-fi locations will never show up until I soft-reset the XV6700.

What did I do? Can I change it back so that I don't get this message every time I put the phone in the cradle?

Thanks,
-Joseph L

If I'm reading this right I think this has happened to me as well. If I go to work and jump on their WiFi, when I return home my network is not in the listing of available networks. However, if I click on "Add New" across the top of the listings, type in my SSID name and network key it connects no problem....it just doesnt actually show back up in the list until I connect it that way. Once I've connected to it again, it shows up in the list. It doesn't do this to me everytime, but it is fairly frequent. For me, manually connecting via the "Add New" is quicker than a soft reset. I've also heard other ppl complaining about the WiFi interface on the 6700. From reading a lot of ppl are getting an app called wififofum. Havent used it, but just throwin it out there.

Hope this helps,

Edit:

After re-reading your post I think you might be trying to access a wifi connection while using activesync? If this is what you are trying to do....the problem I think might be the fact that activesync uses TCP/IP to establish a connection between the PC and your phone, which means it gives your phone a "local" IP, and you are also trying to access wifi which also needs to assign your phone an IP. It might be screwing up because the phone cannot handle the multiple IP assignment at the same time. <--Don't quote me on this, its just a semi-educated guess.
