I've updated my phone with a newer vresion of Cingular firmware, which is due to be generaly released but the end of the month.
HOWEVER>
It fixed a ton of issues I had on my phone (all minor) but now everyone claims that I sould like I'm talking from across the room or down a hall.
They still sound fine to me, so it's only outbound.

But now that I've upgraded the firmware, I cant get back to the old firmware using the default firmware install, it wont install over a newer version.

I need to wipe the firmware clean, then reload.

Any help, on the sound or on how to down grade firmware?

xde developers has a ROM that will fresh install made specifically for going back to the factory shipped ROM.

Check them out, I tihnk you'll find your answer there.

I've got everything back to factory spec's but
anyone I call says that I sound like I'm talking a foot away from the phone.
Any ideas?
I've heard others talk about this same problem on the 8125, but I've
not heard of any answers.

What problems did this fix? Not that the whole sound thing that it caused sounds like something I want but just curious what we can look forward to.
