Hello, I'm new to the forum. I just aquired a new unlocked SLVR L7. I love it. but I have a problem. I'm able to hook it up to my computer and transfer stuff using Motorola Phone Tools, but when I try to use Moto Midlet Manager or MotoKit, it says my phone is not connected. My L7 doesn't have itunes, and I really want it. but I need to use these programs to put itunes on my phone. I 've been searching for the last 2 days and I didn't want to post, but it has come down to this, and I ask for your help! What am I doing wrong. I checked my drivers and the Phone is coming up as Motorola USB Modem. Is this right?

Have you downlaoded a p2k driver for L7?normally,the computer can ONLY notice your mobile when it's connected with digit line in the memory card mold, but if in digit/fax mold, you got to download a p2k driver to the computer, only after that, can you run the Motokit normally.

Well I finally got it to connect. All I had to do was have PST running, and everything was great. Thanks for the help.

However, it's not necessary to have PST running at the same time. One shouldn't need to. Let's face it, if you click the wrong window, who knows what you might do to your phone

If you look around at other threads where people are complaining of connectivity issues, most of them seem to be cleared up when they change their phone's USB connection settings from "memory card" to "data/fax."
