Whilst it seems that these are like hens teeth., has anybody actually got a genuine item?

Need to know if this has a button on the microphone to allow voice dialing, call termination etc. (and that it works)

Bought one from Orange shop which is a generic and the button does nothing. Want to know if the genuine article will work correctly.

Got a compatible one here too but the button does nothing.

Got the original one and the button works fine. Answers incomming calls, terminates calls when complete and also when held activates the voicedial feature.
If you have an aftermarket one for a Nokia, it will not work. The third conductor is in the bezel of the jack, not on the part that is inserted. If you look at the headset jack on the phone you can easily see the conductor on the collar. This is nice because it allows regular 2 conductor headsets to be used....Like my Jabra, although I do wish that I could find an aftermarket with the button that works

Lost rebel, some info please re the hands free.

You said you have Panasonic original that has a button and this works OK.

Do you happen to know the part number?

If possible could you post photo of the connector?

Just got a hands free from Panasonic in the UK and guess what? no button and the connector is standard mini jack.

Any info gratefully received

Sorry, I can not. I have given it away to someone else on the forum that asked for it since I do not use it. Start a new thread and ask about it. They will have it on thur or so and if they have a digital camera, can take pictures to post. The button is on the part where the microphone is housed. I will see if I can get a part number for you.
Later
