802.11+gps? treo 700? HP?

Hey all, first post here.. Someone on the street pointed me here and said yall would know more than the teleco's..
I'm seeking a phone that can take its internet connection and share it as an 802.11b/g wifi access point so as to be my entire internet solution for my psp and desktop.
I live in downtown Seattle, Never travel so I don't need tri/quad band right?
I guess the Treo700 has the $100 wifi card adapter, but will it function as a AP or just hop onto other hotspots?
another thing i really look for is GPS. weather it triangulates it or is real gps i don't care - Can any techies here guide me please?
