Hey, the cl.gif file is the image that appears on the outside screen on my V3 when it is open, correct?

I opened up the cl.gif file, and it's a nice lookin Motorola symbol that matches the default welcome screen, but that's not the picture that shows up on my screen when I open the phone. What shows up is a whiet screen, with blue pixel writing that says FIDO in the center... nothing else, it's plain as ****, I need a set of boobs there lol.

Anyway, if my first thing I said is correct, then why is that cl.gif not the image that is being displayed?

the white screen that says FIDO is a TEXT (not an image file) which is displayed OVERTOP the cl.gif icon. you have to turn OFF the fido script, using bezol's p2k tools program, and uncheck the checkbox "show text when flip open"

I had the same issue, got the text removed, but now it is showing the Motorola M and not the cl.gif that is in the \system folder. I have deleted it, restarted the phone and made sure there isn't a cl.gif in the \system folder and it still displays the motorola M. Any thoughts on how to clear this out?

is that the default motorola "m"? make sure you have the file named cl.gif and not cl.gif.gif.

Thanks for the tip. I have done the following:
1. removed the cingular cl.gif and replaced it with the V3_unbranding_guide cl.gif
2. Restarted the phone
3. replaced the 'm' cl.gif with my own cl.gif
4. restarted the phone
5. changed attributes from 70000 to 70004 per one of the threads on hofo.
6. restarted the phone

I used P2KTools, P2KMan, P2KCommander, and a Korean tool to perform these tasks and all are unable to change the gif.

I have edited seem 61 and 62, do i need to make a changed to 4a?

The file is named cl.gif on both my computer and my phone since i have the "hide ext of registered file types" turned off.

I am having the exact same problem.I still can get my image to display weird huh?

I figured out my mistake. Seem 004a_0001 offset 27 was changed but not uploaded to my phone. Once I did that it worked.

For my wife's razr I only uploaded the cl.gif without removing the old one and things worked find without updating the seem. Odd. But working now.
