Toshiba TS921 video guide

So, I finally caved in and made a TS921 video conversion guide, which you can find at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andrew.cooper81/

It's pretty ugly right now, but the information is there and it's early in the morning so I'm going to get some sleep

I've also put up some general (sketchy) info about MP3s and Java apps so people don't need to keep asking. Of course, if anyone finds anything wrong with the info that's there please let me know!

Enjoy!

nice. thank you for your contribution. .this video gudie can be used for the 902T, 803T, 904T, and 903T.

Thanks Timsta

If anyone can find a way to get long audio files onto the phone I will do a high-quality conversion guide for longer videos. I assume this applies to any of the phones Timsta mentioned above.

we have some audio and video conversion gudies for toshiba/sharp in the sharp forums too. do take a look there as well

I have noticed the 902t and ts921 are the same phone but since the 902t is japanese there some things it does not do. for example me and another guy complained about it not playing mp3's

so do you think or know if the video settings will work for the 902t?

Posted by: Damicci

i tried i dont think the jp 902t play mp4 or mp3 media.

i agree i tried multiple times and it seems like the only video it will play is the ones you record.

you must use the 3GPP+AMR general setting with xvic encoding for it to work on 902t

If it's of any interest, I looked at the encoding used on the video recordings and it's MPEG4-SP video (can't remember bitrate right now) with 7.95kb/s AMR audio.

Theoretically you could convert the video, then convert the audio separately and use something like YAMB to recombine the streams. This was an idea I was playing with but it didn't get me any better results than when I used something like Mobileproducer.

I tried to convert a long video to the phone using AMR audio but this didn't make a difference for me. Still got the dreaded invalid file format error

Thanks, I was using the PSP format like on the site. It works perfectly for music videos and short clips.

been playing around with the 3gp_converter for the 803t

some files work with the the 3GPP + ACC general settings w/xvid
while other ones i've tried with with 3GPP + AMR general settings w/xvid

but it seems like almost all vid files will work if u use the A5504t (the second one)

so i would just try the 3GPP + ACC w/ xvid first, if that doens't work, just fall back onto the A5504t setting

enjoy

ah nvm, everything shuld work with the 3ggp + acc w/xvid settings

just remember not to have any periods in your filename, or the fone mite not read them
