Is there a way besides a USB data cable to connect my GD87 to my Mac Powerbook G4 so I can access the internet? If anyone knows, please let me know! THANKS!

Only in CSD if the mobile and carrier allow it. The GPRS drivers are for PC only

In theory You should be able to use it as a standard modem through IrDA. I haven't had the chance to test this with Mac's(haven't got one) but here is the general principle (from Windows world, without GPRS Assistant):
1. Activate, from GD87, Dial-Up (Applications - Infrared) and position the GD87 facing Your computer's IrDa port
2. Computer should detect the GD87 as Infrared modem (or similar)
3. Go to modem settings and add the following in initialization command: at+cgdcont=1,"IP","internet". In the at-command the word internet should be replaced with the operator's APN.
4. Create a dial-up network connection and as phone number insert *99***1#
5. Open the created connection and insert operator's user id and password, if any
6. Done
This can be also done with data cable. Just add Standard 56.000 bps Modem and add the initialization command given above.
If You can get this to work with Your G4 could You reply so we'll know if this is possible.

Good point. I forgot about the IR modem. I have been meaning to try it.

Well I left my mac at my other house, so when I go back there, I will try it out.
PS: I dont know if there is a IrDA port on the PowerBook. I'll find out though and let everyone know!!

That depends... if I'm not mistaken only the first-gen PowerBook G4's had IR. I know mine doesn't have it. Not sure about the new-new ones (firewire 800 models).
FYI

No IrDA on the Firewire Powerbooks.
However, here's a link for the T68 phones: http://homepage.mac.com/jonassallin...EricssonClient/ to transfer files via either Ir, Bluetooth or Cable.

Well I downloaded the new GPRS drivers from Pana, and I now have my mobile working both in Datacable and IrDA modes. Very convienent!! It appears that the IrDA uses the standard windows IrDA modem drivers. Sweet. I will try and use this mode to see if the mobile responds to AT commands that way as well. Maybe I can hack together a simple Phonebook tool but no promises.
