Hi everyone,
New to the phone flashing scene and I wanted to avoid locking my SLVR by flashing it with the Cingular firmware, is there any way to get around this? Has anyone seen Rogers L7 firmware? I do not mind being locked to Rogers.

I'm specifically looking for iTunes (you know, version that is actually part of the phone, doesn't take long to load etc)

As of right now, the only flash with iTunes is the Cingular-branded one, that will lock your phoen to Cingular. If you have the actual subsidy unlock code (as I do), you can flash your phone and simply enter the code when prompted. If not, I do not recommend flashing your phone with that flash, even if you're on Cingular, since it will lock your phone. Unless you don't care about that, of course.

Check out www.slvrfiles.info
If your phone is already unlocked, they have a flash to reset your subsidy code to 00000000.
So, if you flash the Cingular MP, your phone will be locked, but you just enter 00000000 when it asks for the subsidy code to unlock your phone again
Remember, you can ONLY flash the Cingular MP if your bootloader is 0A not 08 !!!!
If your current firmware starts with R4513, you CANNOT use the Cingular MP because it starts with R4517...

is there a way to get the subsidy code off of your phone if it is already unlocked? i have an unbranded unlocked L7 coming in from ebay and want to be able to flash it later if i want, but don't want to lock it again... if i had the subsidy code for it then i would be able to just use it again in the event i lock it again... or, since the phone is supposed to be unlocked and unbranded that it is already 00000000?
