After i flexed my phone to turn on the java app loader i'm now getting calls that wont match my address book, same with text meassages, thay all start with +18135508999 FOR EXAMPLE.....How do i fix this, is the phone thinking its overseas? I have a v3i-unlocked--t-mobile

Yeah, my ROKR started doing that too. The only way you can fix it is go through all the contacts you have and put a "1" at the beginning of each phone number.

The caller ID is fine after adding 1 but it didnt fix the issue when recieving text messages--it still comes in as +8134445555 for example....i dont get it? why is it started with a +?

seem edit - 0032_0001 offset 3E - bit 4: for purposes of linking name in phonebook with caller ID number, xxx-xxxx = xxx-xxx-xxxx = 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx = +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx (0 on, 1 off)

would it have anything to do with service center number on text setup?

how did you do the seem edit?
Posted by: boston85
i had it first as 4-checked and 0-checked and 1-unchecked---didnt work
then did 4--checked and 0--unchecked and 1-checked--didnt work
then did 4--unchecked and 0-checked with 1- unchecked and now the first 5 text show up as the name in the address book and the last 4 test i sent myself have the +then my number and area code?
what should it be at?

update---unchecking 4 with 0 checked seemed to work, last text i got was without the f%$# + ...it hit the caller ID

0 means unchecked and 1 means checked - so at offset 3E you just needed to uncheck bit 4 .
