Yeah.. good for the memories too. I took one 2 days before the Japan VS Aust. game, and the girl I was with wrote "On the 12th, Japan is going to win against Australia" in Japanese, and now I pay her out about it everytime I can.

It started as a hobby in Japan where it was cheap, soon became an addiction, and then when I came back to Australia to pay 4-5x the price, it wastes my money like crazy.

Yeah, I think Capitol Square really does have a monopoly.. but AFAIK there are a few out west (Cabra, Livo, and all the other asian cities).

Yeah, Cocoa 2 was out when I was there in January.

LOL yeah.. in my collection.. you can really tell which ones have been designed by my australian friends and i, or my japanese friends. They must have something embedded into their brains which gives them artisitic talent in designing them, and it really comes out when the timer starts to count down.

That has to be the most annoying thing about purikura though - the timer. There's nothing worse than going to Capitol Square at 4:30pm on a friday afternoon.. its FULL of school kids, and they queue to take them. So the timer starts more or less as soon as you get to the decorating booth.

My Japanese homestay's phone from AU had the ability to take photos and them give them purikura-like designs. The only thing that was hard to do was write on them, but just like the real machines, there were prewritten messages you could paste on top of the picture.

By the way, in your picture (I'm not sure which is you), is the girl on the right wearing blue contacts or did you do that somehow on the purikura machine? Either way, those are REALLY blue lol.

the machine gives a blueish color to the eyes by itself. and i have blue contacts on. so it was blue to the max. o and i didnt design that one. that was my friends creation. my designs are usualy in corresponding colors

actually today i went to take a look at the black 904 in another shop (yes i like to bug them~), so it came out to be much smaller than what i expect...

am i weird or what? i didn't find that phone that big, it "feels" much smaller than the 903 and much easier to grab~

maybe i was in the shadow of my friend's hideous n90~ that brick definitely hit the world record of the modern biggest flip phone~

I think the size is pretty decent, big enough to be a phone... if it's too small like the panasonic gd-55, then it'd be like a toy...

speaking of size...i think it's a tad too big for my liking... (speaking of the 903) but i really like the camera...i guess we just can't have the best of both worlds...yet.......i sometime still use my pana gd-55 lol cuz it fits perfectly in my small purses.

this morning, i was ready to leave the house...and i noticed that my purse feels lighter...like something is missing...so i looked inside and realized that i forgot to pack my phone...not sure if it's a good thing...lol the 903 really puts weight on my purse.

i dunno about laser... i talked to a physics prof about that once and he said he would never get it, because it is basically scars in eye and who know what will happen to them when you grow really old.

people like me, who is a chicken and don't wanna take the risk of having some problem in my eye when i get old....

people like weak pig, who is brave enough, is willing to take the risk, and have faith and confident in such technology~

I dunno if it's really scars in your eye...basically, the reason your vision gets worse is because your cornea isn't perfectly round anymore. What lasik does is basically shave off a layer of your cornea so that it's round again.

sclaz - the procedure you're talking about is something different, I forget what it's called, but the permanent contact lens thing isn't lasik, I don't think they use a laser for that type of surgery. And $750 an eye? is that with the lasik MD institute? I wouldn't recommend going to that place, I've heard that they used to be called something else, went bankrupt, and then changed their name. I went with a pretty reputable place (Bochner), and ended up paying $5Gs total, but to be honest, when it comes to your eyes, you don't want to mess around...

Yep, what hangtime23 said is EXACTLY true. For me, i also went to a reputable eye surgeon. He charges exorbitantly high, $5G. But the operation was so successful tat i can see clearer images the moment the whole thing is over, which only took less than 15min. and most of it is waiting inside the operation room prepping the laser beam and wat not.

That evening, i dun have any side effects at all. I already can see very clearly, just like wearing contacts, but not actually wearing them. The doc did a great job. Remember, reputation is KEY. Do some background check on the doc first. U can tell by looking at how many ppl visit him/her. The clinic i go to is always choke full of ppl.

i heard my parents talking about some doctor who performs the lasik surgery and it was about 750 an eye. maybe its the MD institiute

and knowing im a chicken myself. i wouldnt attempt unless necessary. if i do. i might change my eye color completely just for fun.

My cousin was using a kind of special fluid that was glowing under ultraviolet light

He got this fluid from his eye doctor but it might be a problem to buy this

This fluid was used along with special medical computer for eye workup.

I`m thinking about this too (-3 for both eyes, many years with contact lenses) but like Montoya, I`m not convinced if it`s 100% safe. It`s a scar, a scar in your eye and when you get older you may end up with something like glaucoma or corneal opacity

None of fresh "customers" will tell you anything bad about this, neither optician who is interested in your money. Possible victims? Hard to find them, as always. Only advertisements are easy to find...

yeah, I 100% agree with weak_pig, if you're gonna do it, definitely go with a reputable surgeon. Do your research on the surgeon first, don't go somewhere just cuz it's cheap.

And actually, I was feeling some pain about an hour after the surgery, but they said it was to be expected, and they gave me these crazy strong eye drops that totally numbed the pain. I just slept pretty much after I got home, and next day I was seeing pretty well.

oh...here's a pic of me after the surgery...

that red eye's gone now, it happened cuz my eyes're really sensitive, and I think the doc put a little too much pressure on one eye when doing the prep for the surgery. Didn't hurt at all, and didn't affect my vision at all, I just looked real scary for about a week and a half...hehehe...hope I didn't scary anybody off from doing the laser surgery!

It didn't hurt at all throughout the process...altho, I'm not gonna lie, halfway through it, at the point where they'd already cut to create the cornea flap, I was sitting in the lobby area, waiting for my turn to go into the surgery room, and *everything* I could see looked like it was underwater (cuz of the cornea flaps being kinda loose/semi-open), I was thinking "what the hell did I get myself into??" and I really wanted to just run outta there.

heh...that's probably not the best story to tell to convince you to do lasik!
but honestly, I have no regrets at all...waking up in the morning and being able to see my alarm clock clearly...priceless!

well the 902 or 903 doesn't have OIS (optical image stabilizer) so your hands have to be pretty steady and as Tim said, good lighting also is a plus for the Sharp. I usually take a couple pics of the same thing just so i can get one good pic = )

well yah it wasnt really sunny when i took that hotel view. i tried to capture my friend drivng her new GS on the road at night. came out like krap. i think i have pretty good steady hands now i just need sun and light. ^^

yeah the teapots they sold there were pretty cool, made of some special clay that lets you keep tea leaves in there for up to 4 uses, and they're designed so that you can't ever have tea dripping down the spout of the teapot...when the guy demoed it, it was really cool, I got suckered into buying one...hahahah

I increased the brightness, then applied the "Dark strokes" effect, with very little on white intensity, half on black intensity, and balance at full.
