I just got my phone, which is motorola l6, i have my usb cable but i cant find the Usb Driver Installation anywhere.. Any one have a clue?

Well i installed my driver but now i cant use the p2k command because the status is always disconnected and it says that phone is not connected

Same problem for me. Tried RSD Lite and still the same way. BTW, I have a V3i.

If you used the original drivers from Motorola Phone Tools then the P2K utilities won'e work... you need the P2K drivers... somebody already mentioned getting it from http://www.motomodders.net

I also tried the p2k drivers but when i plug in my phone, it says that phone cannot be found..

One possibility... Windows aren't loading the P2K drivers for the phone even if it's already installed on your PC. Do you have MPT installed? Try uninstalling it first.

i think for those fones u have to have PST running in the background. Correct me if im wrong

most ppl have problems installing the drivers for p2k programs, ppl are getting different results with installing them, you may wanna read the wiki from this forums and the sticky from motomodders.net.

I have no problem connecting my rokr, E770 (now stolen) and v3i to all p2k programs including pst, rds lite and mff.

Dear Friends,

I have Motorola L6. My PC's OS at home is Win 98SE, and it is Win 2000 professional at office.

In both the PCs though I installed MPT sucessfully and updated thru Liveupdate, on running the application and connecting thru USB cable, my L6 is not getting installed. There comes a message saying "mobile device not detected".

What is the problem?
How do I solve this?

I need a comprehensive guidance on this. Please help.

try connecting as v80.

also, try running rsd lite in the background.

Yesterday i´ve used the usb in my PC , now I tried in severals pc´s and canot be recognizes , I just get a leyend unplug your USB to conect the Memory , ( something alike ) , help needed ,

HELP ME,PLEASE!!!

I have an E398. I've read your "Easy E398 to ROKR conversion" and tried but when i connetted my phone to PC with "data/fax connection", PC asked "Motorola accessory","motorola MCU data logger" and "Motorola text command". i had the motorola dirver CD but couldn't found them.
WHAT WILL I DO?
