Problem While Flashing/Flexing

V3 here. Phone won't startup..no screen only keyboard lights up for a short time and then shuts down. I think it's a dead battery, but I'm not sure.
To get the keypad to light back up and to get the PC to recognize the phone again, I have to plugged in the wall adapter and then plug in the PC cable and try to flash again, but it only flashes so far because the phone shuts down again. Doesn't this sound like a dead battery?
I thought so, but I took a digital mulimeter and measured the voltage on the battery and it's 2.6v. Shouldn't this be enough? I have been having problems reflashing this phone due to a bad flash during a power outage on my laptop.
Is the battery dead (even though it's reading 2.6v)? I have tried Moto Studio Repair, MFF, RSD Lite and Flashbackup--all fail when the keyboard turns off.
If it is the battery, how can I splice the wall adapter to the PC cable to supply the phone with power? Surely this is possible. I know I can buy a charger, but this is the cheapest altenative. I have several cables so no costs involved here. With power supplied from the wall, I'm sure I can recover this phone. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks!

That means you messed up on a flash, and it didnt work, or was incomplete.
Put the phone into bootloader mode # + * + the power button
the computer will recognize the phone, and let you reflash it to fix it.

Apparantly, you didn't read my post completely. My PC recognizes the phone, attempts to reflash but the phone shuts down (turns off). Only by plugging it into the WALL does the phone turn back on.
Again, I think it is a battery problem, but if you read above, I am getting voltage from the battery. Please reread my post carefully as I have tried everything around these forums.
Thanks,

heh, yes sorry.
yeah, Ive never encountered that before, but it does sound like a dead battery. and I dont think you can charge it from the phone if you failed on a flash..and the phone wont turn on properly.
Your either gonna have to find somebody with a phone that has the same battery, and have them charge it, or buy a new battery.
But as far as I know, there is no way to do this from the phone if the phone isnt working.(if you failed a flash)
and Im not to keen on electronic enginerring, but I think even if the battery has a little juice, it will read the same voltage as one thats charged. I think if you can, measure in amps.

I believe that 8.26 bootloader is on the this phone BUT corrupted do to a power failure. I don't think it's going into bootloader even though RSD is recognizing it as the Neptune Lite. When I try to send an MP to the phone using RSD, I receive this error after a short while:
error sending rqsn boot command
Now, questions:
Is my bootloader corrupt? I know you can restore this but what if it's 8.26 that is corrupted?
Is my PDS corrupted? If it is, don't I have to be able to get into the bootloader mode first? What if both the bootloader (possibly 8.26 and the PDS are corrupted?)
Again, the battery is fully charged, after inserting the battery, the keypad stays on constantly.
Thanks
