After having the Moto v710 for 1.5 years, its the worst phone i've ever had, I might aswell get out the old "Clearnet" Nokia phone and that would work better. My battery lasts 5 hours without even opening the phone, and i cant make any phone calls or recieve any. It says "connecting" but waits up to 30 seconds and even then, it sometimes connects. and then drop the call soon after. The reception at my place wasnt good to begin with before either, but at least it would connect and i could make calls, now i hope the problem will be fixed when i get a new battery, because maybe there is no charge, and thats the reason it cant make calls, but i highly doubt any relation between the two...anyone else with this problem? Because Telus is a ****in Whore, and they basically told me there is nothing they can do, and i still have 1.5 years left on my contract...

1. If your phone sucked and you didnt take it back when you first got it .... what do you expect?
2. As for your carrier... keep complaining up the ladder till someone does something.

I have the V710 and on Telus too. I am also using a Motorol V3i and Motorola A1220 MING on Fido. You'd be surprised how much better the V710 is for the PHONE/VOICE QUALITY portion (not the games, messaging, etc.). V710 is dual mode still and works well for me everywhere. My battery died after a year (last only 24 hours with about 3 hours talk time). I got a new battery and it is lasting me 48 hours with about 6 hours talk time.
Did you take it back to Telus to get it flashed ? There were lots of problems with the original firmware.

yea, i have the new firmware on it, i'll see when i get my new battery in, if that solves the problem.
