questions on screen for new 6700

Good day.
I just got the 6700 (from Telus)

I've noticed a couple of things about the screen & was wondering if the units are just like that.

1) the outmost plastic film/layer is somewhat "loose"..or rather, not taut over the glass. ie I can see and feel deformation beneath the stylus as I write/tap

I know that screens are "soft" but none of my PDAs were ever like this....

2) there's definitely some rougher parts to the screen. It looks perfect from any angle, but some parts feel like there's something the roughness of sand between the top plastic layer and the glass

any comments? thanks!

My screen feels very firm around the center, but feels squishy around the edges. You can't see the difference though. When I angle the light off the screen, I don't notice any ripples or deformation.

...I would expect something like that...
any areas of slight roughness?

thanks

No not really. I do have a screen protector on mine though that's been getting scratched up which is contributing to a rough feel though.
