hour and hours of scouring the web and nothing SPECIFIC for the US cellular version of the razr V3c, I even posted this how to on another forum but got no help..
well here's my How to for us US Cell customers wit a V3c, hopefully by me putting this out here, it will spark or kick off some others and thru trial and error we can all learn how to do this..

here goes..

S/W needed in ORDER:

1. http://www.v710.org/mark/Files/E815...DriverPack1.zip u need this for your pc to see your phone pLUS Moto PST needs these to run correctly..

2. http://www.bvrp.com/Customers/Motorola/DriverTool.zip dont reallly know bout this one..all i know is it won't work w/o this..

3. Motorola PST 7.2.3. <-- i got this off irc i dont' exactly remember but people say google for it.. this was in my rookie days, i'm jus glad i got it!

4. http://s5vi.vxxxstuff.com/commander/commander.html P2K Commander its COMPLETELY free.... get version 3.2.9

AIGHT Install Time: step by step!

***make sure if you have done any other driver installs for a motorala phone that you UNinstall those... you want to start fresh***

1. Create a folder on desktop called Razr Drivers, unzip files from #1 to that folder, (you will need this location to point your computer at, during the install)

2. Run the Driver TooL.exe you got in #2 above, (again all i know is that w/o this. it wouldn't work)

3. PLUG your USB cable to the computer now connect the Razr. *if* your pc asks for a driver POINT it to the folder from #1

4. Install the PST 7.2.3 pgram.. depending on how you get it, you may have to patch it, install a wibu key, ect, ect, but it will get to a point where it will ask you for drivers..point it to the folder again from #1. It will ask for another driver, point again, repeat for 2 more drivers, total of 4.

5. Once done, close down PST then disconnect your phone, wait a min, reconnect your phone, START up PST. If it asks for a driver, point it to the folder in #1 again... repeat if necessary, ova wise your good to go...

6. Extract, OPEN and RUN the P2k program, once open IMPORTANT click the option's MENU button (next to File) and slide it all the way to the right till it say UNLIMTED!! (some people say to right click the program before you open it and under the "compatability" tab set mode for windows 98 but it worked for me w/o having to touch that!)

7. On the RIGHT side of the P2k PROGRAM, on the DROP down, next to the RE_READ button, select p2k Mobile Phone. This should then cause the program to read your phone, watch the green bar at the bottom, Don't do anything till it finishes up, you should then see the contents of your phone!! EVERYTHING on the Left is whats on your computer and right side is your Phone..

NOTES:
Thats it, NOW you can get at that *****!!! REMEMBER you always need to have PST running in the background in order for the p2k commander to work... also 99.99% of the tutorials out there claim you need to have win xp sp2, main.... using the above steps I got it to work on my machine, xp pirated at that!(found that out since I can’t update to sp2) running 128mb ram.. so I know yall got better computers then me!! So it got to work on yours…

Also when YOU copy something from your pc to the phone using p2k commander a window will pop up(talkin bout wait time), TRUST me, let it be, ignore it and jus watch the green status bar on the bottom right, once that’s finished then its safe to go to the next step, ie. Copy one ringer, wait for green bar to complete, THEN click the RE READ button and THEN go and copy the next ringer, ect, ect.. DO THIS EVERYTIME no matter how tedious.. otherwise your pc and phone will freeze, n all that mess.. so again whenever you do something RE READ the phone!!! TRUST on that!

i know there are ton's of how to's out there and mine's not much different... but that ish dont' really apply to our phone.

for example everysingle how to change outside lcd when flip is open does not work as our .gif file is not in the a/mobile/shared dir as every tuturial states... i can't seem to find it anywhere...tho i did find the open and close LCD.gif

so feel free to share any solutions or questions...

here i'ma start it off...

1. On the US Cellular V3c has anyone been able to find out how to replace the outside LCD? I can't seem to find the moto.gif to replace? i was able to locate the starup/shutdown image... but no dice on the outside LCD .gif, its obviously not the same as the verizon one... a/mobile/shared/ nothing there..

2. http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=318 there is an AWESOME transformer pic on here by DJDownhill, what is it and how can i use that for my phone?

3. is it possible to do new skins on the US Cellular version of the V3c? i have not been able to find out any info on this!! but those skins on here have got me hype as hell!! the win xp and mac os X skins are the ish... someone please clarify!!!

Does anyone know if an animated gif will work on the outside screen?

This is my current outside lcd.

Kinda fitting for me I guess, but if I could use an animated, I would probably pick something more flashy.

cybite did you go to options as stated above and put it all the way to UNLIMITED?

i jus spent an hour searching on hofo and motomodders...

my problem is this.. 99.9% of very post/tuturial states to go to a/moble/shared ver.gif but our phone's don't have that? where is the outside gif on our phone's? i've even copied every pic file over to my pc and viewed them all.. nothing.. someone help!!

2. how do we change the annoying hellomoto startup and shutdown's? i replaced the uscellulr closing gif wit that transformers one above but it still goes FIRST thru the hellomoto one's THEN the transformer one.? any ideas?

3. i cna't find jack on teh skins for OUR version of the v3c...

I think I can safely assume that you can't use ANIMATED .gif's on the exterior LCD. I have tried and failed... several times. I even made my own animated .GIF's and still no luck.

Bummer, probably makes sense tho, ani gifs take CPU power, and the outside display seems to be very limited as far as what it can do. Tho it does work as a viewfinder for the camera, so it does have some video capacity.

Would have been neat, but for now I'll settle for an animated gif at startup.

Yeah... don't get me wrong. You can upload the GIF just fine... but it will only display the first frame of the GIF. There's just no animation (which sucks).

Using the LCD as a viewfinder is OK, since you don't use the camera for very long. My larger concern would be that since GIF's use more processing power, there would be a greater strain on the battery... and since that thing would keep animating until the display times out (whatever the timer setting may be for you), it would suck a lot more battery power.

So, from my understanding... there's a logical reason why they don't animate.

yes but you can't do anything with it because it says the browser is not finished or something.

Not true. Do a search in this forum and you will find the answers. I used it until the wap gateway site was shut down due to spam about two months ago. I am too lazy to setup again and I find nWeb does what I want, which is sports scores for the most part. I saved MLB.com as a Favorite and ESPN's WAP site, too. And, of course, HoFo Mobile.

The Openwave browser is much snappier than nWeb, though.

1. how do i talk to a moderator or who's in charge here,, i got banned for a week from this site all because it said i was tryin to hide my ip address or something? man all i did is get online via laptop from my sprint phone? what tha deal? let me say it was rough as **** google like 99.9% of how to razr mod point to this site.. but it did force me to dig deeper and well the results speak for themselves....

2. aight modding is dope this is what i'm rocking so far.....this is my main menu except mine says contact and recent, my start up screen, and my outside lcd when flip is open,

can you please give step by step insturctions on how to do this? so far all my searches are get this program, run this seam etc etc. a single step by step would allow a LOT more people to be able to do this stuff.

If you don't know how to do a simple seem edit, you shouldn't be doing it at all.

i haven't even found a single link that shows the seems for us cellular phones. All I see are other carriers being discussed.

first off go get this.....
- P2k Seem (modified version, works with V3c)

REMEMBER this is all off the original steps from the 1st post.. so once you got all that going... have the PST program up and running...

1. open/run p2k Seem

2. Under "Load" enter seem 2771 record 0001. BYTE 0030 Click "Load from Phone"

***3. ALWAYS save ya **** before you **** wit it.. so click on save to file and save that seem, to a folder you create/ed on your desktop i.e. RazrV3c Original Seem files, that way if you **** it up you can always put the orginals back in***

4. wit that seem loaded you will see it will dispay / m o t o r o l a..ect, ect. you need to make it look like this / a / m o b i l e / l c d . g i f <-- LET me make this clear those are not spaces. best way is to jus start on the / then instead of space hit the right arrow on your keyboard enter a then right arrow on keyboard, repeat for it all, you will see that on the LEFT side the spaces are 00 values.. you should end wit the f from .gif appearing by itself on the 3rd line... then you know you done it correct

5. ONce you've done that, click on SAVE to PHONE

6. Load Seem 2772 record 0001 REPeAT the SAME exact same steps as above, make sure you save your back up and that you save to phone.

7. Here's where it gets tricky, Load seem 275a record 0001 from the phone. save your backup file,. Then set offset 0027, bit 0 to no checkmark. if you have a US CELLULAR phone v3c which you should, don't worry bout this step you should already be set but jus in case the 3rd line once loadded looks like 000020 you count to the right to 8, if its 00 then your fine if its anything but 00 click on it and on the bottom left UNclick bit 0(so theres no checkmark) and that will set it to 00

8. CLICK on save to phone.

9. Close p2k seem and now open up p2commmander, the rest is a cakewalk
your outside picture must be in .gif format and it must be 96x80 (w x h) and it MUST be named lcd you need to upload it to the a/mobile i'm doing this from memory, its the same dir where your skins folder is.. so upload and there should be two files, skins folder and now lcd.gif...

10. close p2commander, unplug your phone and restart and when you flip open you should see your gif on the outside lcd. those are the steps i took to get that win xp mobile on my phone.. ex.

11. happy modding!!!! i was tryin to get this joint on my phone..

but all i have is windows paint and even tho i RE saved it as a .gif it will not work? can anyone wit adobe open/save that as a gif for us out here?

good luck and REMEMBER if you fry your phone i can't help wit that.. fortunately i have not had the misfortune of going thru that.. so i wont' be of any help if you do..
