hi everybody,
I have a motorola v635 and I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow make the volume keys/smart button/voice record button into a switch track button when the clamshell is closed with either the Moto java player playing or the "Sounds" playing.

wow, total silence, I guess its just that impossible

Try searching, I remeber seeing this, you can browse through menu's somehow, it's pretty old, check it out.

no luck, the search really does suck on this
I still love you HoFo! Just not your search.

Try p2k menu editor. Google it. You may wanna look into seem editing your phone. Not sure how it works on a 635 but on my 360, I seem edited my phone and I can now open the sounds menu, pick a song or playlist, play, skip, and fast forward all with the phone closed. I had to switch the right soft key to the voice key (the right soft key became the smart key, I quickly got used to the changes), and the smart key became the right joystick button.

this is for the stock sound player not the java version (that is dap and iTunes)...if you are using a java app, key mapping does not work because it is the actual app that does the key mapping and not the phone....
browse through menu works but not for java apps!!
same reason why i wanted the v3x java mp3 player because i think that this can select sounds flip closed....
anyone wants to hack into iTunes key mapping ? extract the .jar file and edit this file....*\j2me3\com\motorola\itunes\idle\IdleHomeK eys.class....and if your sucessfull give me the keymap for headset key or smart key or voice key for "next track"
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS FILE BUT I FEEL THE ANSWER IS THERE

Yes, it's for the Sounds menu, but IMO the Sounds menu is much better than the DAP as it can function in the background. And there are no song limits like Itunes.

i find dap to be irritating also....man i think that im the only one who likes iTunes here....i mean 1000 songs is enough because a 1gb card holds estimated 256 songs anyways....so you will need a 4gb card to go over this cap
