Need some help with my Cingular 8125 Audio Media ..

Ok, so here is the jist of it .. I switched from At&t to cingular so that i could get the cingular 8125 .. great phone had it for about a week .. the main problem i am having is this .. i setup the activesync and all that and i synced onto the pda some music files (mp3) and some mp3 ringtones .. they work fine but lately what has been happening is that they will start playing faster then normal .. say i get a phone call and the song is playing alot faster then normal .. and even if i go to the windows media player and play the songs they play alot faster ... so then i turn off the power and then turn it back on and the audio works fine again, but a few hours later they will start to play fast again .. but the audio files that came with the phone like the ding sound and the dog barking they never play fast .. like even when the mp3s that i synced onto the phone are playing fast the ones that came on the phone work fine .. any body know what could be wrong???

I know that I don't have a fix so I probably shouldn't post, but I've been having the same problem for a few weeks now so I'd be curious if anyone has a solution.

I don't listen to MP3s on mine, but it sure is strange when my phone rings and some of the ringtones sound like the chipmunks from being slightly sped up. I'm up to almost a couple soft resets per day now in an attempt to clear it up.

Just figured I'd bump this thread in hopes for a fix!

I hope this will help you but it sounds good updating the Rom perhapse helps making the 8125 work better check this thread and ask the guys that posted in this thread. good luck I hope i dont bump into that problem i just got my 8125 and havnt had any problems.

I've read about others with this problem, too.

My phone so far doe
*not* exhibit the problem, with ringtones or the media player.

I think we should try to get some facts here, in order to try and narrow down the source of the problem.

Let's post our ROM versions for comparison's sake (Use Today->Settings->System tab->Device Information to locate your ROM versions.)

Mine is 1.8.11.1 WWE

Also, if one of you could upload and post a link to one of the mp3's you are seeing problems with, I wouldn't mind trying it on my phone to see if I can reproduce the problem.

well this is what i would suggest is go up to the ppc forums and ask them. also yuo can goto the xda-developers forums and look around. I am suspecting its the bitrate of the files trying to play..
