I don't know if it's completely related to updating the phone software, but I haven't been able to sync my e398 with iSync since I updated. The reason I say that I'm not sure if it's the update's fault is that syncing was never that reliable in the first place, but at least I could get it to work from time to time.

I'm running OS X 10.4.6 with all the updates, and continue to get and error of:

[E398] The phone cable is not plugged.
Please plug the phone cable on your computer.
Device "E398" synchronization failed

This is the same error I used to get, but it would usually sync after a few tries. I have not been able to get it to sync yet since the flash.

I don't think it's a connection problem, since the USB drive functionality works perfectly fine, and can be seen and used by all the comps that I've tried it on, and also the MPT works to sync my old contacts, but disregards information from my vcards that I'm trying to import so that isn't going to work for me.

Have there been any issues with this, or is there a way to get MPT to sync ALL the contacts I have, not just the ones with phone #s, and have it take ALL the numbers for a contact (some have multiple home #s, etc.)?

are there any programs that will take a vcard 3.0 format contact and import the data AS IT IS in the file? Windows, mac, linux, any programs that can do this I'll definitely give a try!

I really just need my multiple numbers to be imported and not lose the "extra" information in the vcard that the MPT and outlook express thing are superfluous
