Problem with USB DRIVERS for L6 and V3 RAZR

First, I have searched and searched and searched some more for this problem I have not seen any thing like this if there is please please point me to the thread. Second, I have been modding motorola iden phones for a long time and I am new to the GSM area. I am tring to do the Quad band seem edit on an L6 and trying to get the advanced network menu (Like the L6 has) on my Orange branded V3 Razor. I am sure I can do it but the driver will not install. i have the correct drivers, P2Kman, and a hex editor already installed. I am running XP PRO with service pack 2 and the iden usb drivers works fine. I have even tried the iden usb drivers with this software and no luck!

Heres what happens!
Each time I connect either of the phone it pops up with new hardware found instal USB modem. I point it to the correct folder it installs then right at the end it say " Windows can not install the modem". HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

I can't find it? Do I even need it with the drivers?

there are many driver but not all will work for all pc right so i sugest you look for MPT and install .....I had the same issues and got it working after I install MPT it work i swear

It doesnt stop until it get to the part where it is copying the file usbser.sys to the system32/drivers folder......does that help anyone?

Now I got the first driver to install but i do not get the 4 other things to install. Also mobile phone tools nor P2k works at all even tho the driver is installed!

your windows must have some kind of firewall or something like it ....... have you try another pc

I am having the same problem. I installed active synic 4.1 and it shows the moble device in my computer but when I click on it I get nothing. when I go to device managers in the I just see it as a massive storage device. when i install the drivers in system32 folder in driver files it says not installed? can anyone help......I am new to the razor thing.....

Check the Usb setting on the phone.....

got it working. Had to put the drivers in a folder and then I put them in my documents and the add devise found them with no problem. Now I can start mpt and it can read my v3 without a problem. Getting ready to make wal papers and ringers. I am using mpt 3.11 for thoses who want to know along with the razor v3 driver pack....
