Backup Recommendations for 8125

I am looking for suggestions for backup software for my 8125. I hesitate doing any rom updates because I don't want to readd programs, email settings, pictures, videos, etc. What is your preference for backup programs? Is it best to backup to my PC or directly to the mini SD card? Thanks!

sprite here also....u can use sprite backup after a rom upgrade unlike other backup program

Ditto on Sprite, a bit pricey at $30 but gets the job done and now with the ROM upgrade option very handy too.....

Sprite (my former program of choice) just hasn't worked well on the 8125 - In particular, while the backups appeared to work fine, restoring was a complete disaster.

I switched to SPB and it has been outstanding. Not only is it easy to restore, there's a neat utility that SPB puts up on its site that allows you to take a backup file from your PPC, transfer it to your computer, and unpack the whole backup into a folder (including the registry tree) - I've taken advantage of this feature a few times

i have restored my phone using sprite bckup twice just to test it and it went flawlessly...never had a problem...

as for spb..i dont think u can restore after ROM upgrade

Wouldn't doing a restore from Sprite or SPB after a Rom flash just restore the documents and settings from the last backup? I know that SPB creates an .exe file that you initiate if you want to restore a backup. I would assume that would work on a flashed 8125?

but from what i understand..when u do a ROM upgrade u have new system files in the registry...now when u do a full backup and retore it will restore your old registry/system files which u dont want...Only backup prog i know that restores after a full ROM upgrade is sprite.

sooooo after you upgrade your ROM, can't you create a new backup, which should restore exactly as it was back-ed up?! Or am I out in left field here?

My desire would be to have a backup of all email settings, documents, personal ringtones, added programs, etc before a rom update and then after the update do a restore of all these settings.
