I figured out how to make my mp3's ring tones. Then only thing is that I cannot find a folder that they go in. Also if I want to set one of my mp3's as a wake up alarm how do I do that?

I Have A Cingular 8125 And When I Put Mp3s On Mine They Go To My Documents You Just Have To File Explore To Find Them

Wirelessly posted (motorola razr v3c: HTC-8100/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I don't put them in a folder. I just drag and drop them where all the folders are and they are easily located with the file locator.

I've got the same question the guy who started this thread has. I understand that if I tap/hold on a sound I can set it as a ringtone that way, but with alarms, the only way I can see to select an alarm sound is from the dropdown box next to it...which seemingly does not update. Am I missing something? The stock alarms suck, IMO

From what I understand unless you use a 3rd party alarm app the alarms have to be .wav files, not .mp3, which is what your ringtones are, which explains why even if you are looking in the same folder you wil see different choices.

I have a converter that I use to make ringtones and it has an option to make wav files so I used that to create a few alarms I like. BTW, you can ususally get the converters for free on bittorrent or you can buy them from handango or their manufacturers website.

I got the answer on another site.

to add things to the alarm dropdown box, they must be .wavs, and have to be put in the /windows folder.
