(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Has the same basic features, but adds FM radio to the mix:

I don't know--I don't like the way it looks. And I hardly ever listen to the radio.

Which providers have it? I havent heard anything about it and have to keep my Remix for another 8 months or so but id like to check out the competition...haha

It's not out yet. But the specs say it's a flip version of the Slider Remix with FM Radio added.

Its no Slider killer if you ask me.

I just read that it has an IR port.

I wonder what functionality will be enabled with this feature?

Without going and looking at the specs yet, I would say that FM radio would be a plus, as long as the antenna is strong enough to make it worthwhile. And as for the flip version -- I have to say that I'm not wild about the slide. We got KX16 flips for the rest of the family at the same time I got my KX5, and I really prefer the flip. It's just too cumbersome with the slide to whip the phone out of my holster and then have to use both hands to get the slide open. I don't think it's too much to ask for a compact phone that you can handle one-handed. I certainly can live with the slide, because I love the mp3 player on my Remix. But I'm not a slide fan.

that phone does have an ir port and it supports java.....how bout a new slider?????? that supports everything??

How in the world can you not open the slider with one hand? I pull it out of my pocket and slide it open with my thumb. With my left hand and I'm a righty.

i agree with u leo its really easy to slide open

Posted by: thefaceeater

i dont know i think i may rather have the flip phone because of the additional features even though i love my slider

Posted by: crackur

uh no............

Posted by: berry_lthird

True, it's not as sexy as the Remix, but it does sport some of the most features of any Kyocera phone.

I wish the Remix had an internal antenna like the K822.

Posted by: crackur

I dont like internal........

Why not? If it's done correctly, it provides the same reception.

mmm i dont really care about the antenna lol its pretty cool! it doesnt really look like one lol

Posted by: crackur

I mean I get good reception and its small, and like sin said it doesnt look like one and I dont have to worry about it breaking or whatever....

I guess. I think it looks more sophisticated with an internal, but I do like how they did this antenna.
