You have to plug up the phone via USB and load those drivers that come up...NOT TURNING OFF THE PHONE FOR FILE EXCHANGE...then just go thorugh your com port numbers till it finds it....promise it works...took me a minute but got it to work....

Wait, you can delete the midi files?? I didnt see that in PST.. That would be great if you could.. Tazz, i already dropped you a PM, hopefully I can help you get your fone to be recogonized but the only thing ive used PST for was to make the videos longer and to unlock 2 hidden games that Alltel hid.. If you know of more stuff to do with it, please do tell...lol

ok i know what port my phone is on it is COM2 in my modem section but when i open Kyocera Wireless PST Configuration it shows COM1 and COM2 but says no phone on both...thats the problem im at....and yes i loaded the drivers that promted when i plugged in the phone...im using windows xp also

Actually, just because the phone modem thing is on port 2 does not mean you can access the phone through port 2.

Just keep adding ports. (Port 3, port 4, port 5....) Until your phone shows up. My modem was on port 3 but my actual phone was on port 4.

I just downloaded KWPST and I have looked at all these other threads yet I still have no clue what to do. It has ports com1 and com2 showing but neither recognize my phone. I added com3 and it didn't recognize my phone, and when I tried to add more ports, it gave me an error. Also when people were talking about a number to put in and stuff, I have no clue what they are talking about. Could someone please help?...Nvm, I figured it out...I had the older version and so when I finally figured out my port it didn't recognize it but now i have the right version and so i have the games and 255 video

ok i got it to show up in pst but now what do i do?...i read the phone then i erased the banner and then enabled games it said it would show in the custom menu but i dont see games and my banner is still there it just says kyocera now instead of what it did say....could anyone help with getting it GONE and showing my how to get to the games plz.....thanx

ok i did have the games.....just didnt see them when i furst glanced but i still have the banner is there a way to delete the banner altogether?

Posted by: LeoDude

You can't delete the banner and if you leave it blank, Kyocera is placed in it.

So just go to the setting in your display options and change it to a few spaces. That way it will be blank.

Hey guys,.....here is the short easy way to have your phone recognized in the program.

first install the drivers for your phone.

next install the program qpst (the kyocera phone tools program)

next leave your phone turned on, not in any special modes or anything, just on....and plug in your USB cord to your phone and computer

next start up the " kyocera wireless pst configuration" (it is installed with qpst.....go to the start button> all programs> kyocera wireless pst> Kyocera pst configuration.

next click on the "ports" tab

next, (no matter what port your usb is plugged into!!!!!!) if you see" no phone" or "n/a" under phone on the same screen,

- first hilight com1 or 2 if they say not available under status and click the "enable" button. If you get an error, don't worry about out- its OK

-second click the "add new port" button, the "add new port" box will appear. where it says port type "COM3" and where it says name type bigdaikonissexy ,.....or anything you want ...it does not matter, but do type something. If then you see your phone in the phone column, great! your connected! If not, click the "add new port" button and repeat the steps using COM4, COM5, COM6,....etc. Eventually your phone will be recognized. If it is not, then your computer is betraying you and you should vanquish it with a broadsoard, long axe or kameha-meha wave as soon as possible.

Hope this helps for all that are having trouble seeing those phones show up!!

good luck!!!

Bigdaikon, you rock. Thanks for the great tutorial.

HAHA thanks Rad Quinn ....I'm glad to see it helped at least 1 person!

sinoloco69in .... ......

- The drivers should have come on the CD you got with your phone....that is if it came from Alltel ( I can't say for other providers) anyway, if you don't have the CD or if it is not working- go to the website, ...and yes I know they have a ton of drivers all identified by some wierd code that is not explained ( I was like WTF! when I saw that list too ). However, while looking at the list, and after cursing Kyocera and the world I then began to whip my computer monitor with my kyocera USB cord. (stay with me this gets good! )So,...Just as the USB whip shattered my computer moniter I noticed something.... on the part of the USB cord that actually plugs into your phone,....on the underside of the connector where it says Kyocera it says "model TXDTA10102" which is one of the random drivers they have in thier list!

What the heck!!! Why couldn't those doo-doo heads write that that was how to know which driver to choose. So now I had a shattered monitor, however I knew which driver to use.

Armed with this information sinoloco69in I suggest that you uninstall the phone tolls if you have them installed, reinstall the driver, and then the program ...then plug in your phone while it is on and in normal mode and if windows tries to resort to any tricks getting you to look for drivers scream " Not in my backyard you hussie!" and cancel that box! ...then hopefully all will be fine!... i hope!

as for the ports....add 'em till you see that phone....if one gives you an error, persevere! fight for your phone and try the next port till you see it! YOU CAN DO IT!

-BigDaikon!
