OMg totaloanagee - u're evil. =P

Posted by: john0213

i know they have some kinda wrap avalible in hk. it's like you hand the phone to them then tell them to wrap it for you~ doesn't show anything and they can be pill off easily.... it's more like the clear bra from 3M for the front bumper of the car, only it comes in colour and patterns~

Posted by: Timsta

yah., that is true. they have full body wraps in hk. they can look very tacky at times tho if done improperly

Posted by: azn_boi_128

i sudgest wearing latex gloves wear operating a sharp phone =D

Posted by: Timsta

thatll only protect yor finger nails from scratchin th ephone.. u need other protector toooo.. phone condoms. all latex body wrap

btw, friggen 904 came with nothing in the box xcept for charger lol

anybody know where i can get the headphone + adapter thing and approx. how much is it?

Posted by: sketch143

uhm.. you can get a mp3 remote for the 904 from tim for about $70 bucks depending on what color you want (silver/white) AV cables go for around $40. OEM handsfree i have no idea how much but if you want to use your own headphones to listen to music you can acquire a music adaptor for less that $3 at DAISO, Aberdeen

Posted by: wee1031

oo thanks...

but whats DAISO, aberdeen?

Hmm..everyone is crazy about protecting their new babies. Down where I am, they have it down to an art form. This is what you will need: several pieces of sharp ( no pun inteneded) disaposable rasor blades, one working lighter and clear sticky plastic film. ( the kind you can get at hobby places or stationary stores).

So how do they do it? Well, the cut out a pieces roughly the size of the phone, places it on squeegy it, and here comes the magic, when the get to the edges, the quickly eat up the plastic and stretch it until it covers all the corners and edges smoothly and tight. Next comes the surgery..the take the razor..and very very carefully cut out all the excess plastic. When it is done, it looks like your phone has never been warpped...cause it is all clear. Only upon close inspection can you see that clear plastic has been used. Its FREAKIN amaaaaaaazing!!! and it only costs a buck!! hahahaha

And the cool thing is , when you are sweating or there is water on your hands when you are using the phone, NO problem It protects it completely. And if ever your phone unfortunately gets a dunk in toilet bowl, accident off course, you still have a chance to save its life..hahaaa

i will post some pics of my covered up 903SH

Posted by: qlam79

haha..major typo...i meant the heat up the plastic..not eat it up.

Posted by: john0213

next thing you see some of our forum member ate the whole roll of plastic film like california roll~

btw, is there any other thing than lighter? seems risky~~

Posted by: Timsta

wow...thats pretty cool. they pretty much melt the plastic to be on th ephone. providing full protection. i wonder what happens when you take it off

Posted by: wee1031

eew
thats like peeling skin off
lol
eew
><

Posted by: Timsta

yah.. thats true.. ugh.. bad thoughts.. i'm thinking silence of hte lamb

Posted by: wee1031

eew
just thought about that old movie 'face off'
nasty ><

Posted by: Timsta

haha. with john travolta.. thats old movie.. i haven't seen that in years

Posted by: qlam79

Nah, its totally cool when you peel it off!! Its like seeing the birth of a totally brand spanking new PHONE, right before your eyes. That is why the first thing I do when i get a new phone is go down to the shop and carefully remove the cheap plastic on the screen and place a clear plastic film right on it. The lighter is the best thing to use. The trick is you have to light the plastic really quickly...if too long, it just melts, but if you get it right, it is soft and pliable. This is hands down the best protection for the money anywhere!!
hahhaha...Hey tim, you want yours done, send it to cambodia!! hahhaha..Although i don't think i can gaurantee that it will get to my door step.

Why don't you guys try it out; get an old phone and give it a go. Like to see what kind of results you get.

Posted by: john0213

well, yes it requires skill and practice, and when you do it right, i can see the result, and if you are use to these stuff, it won't be hard, but considering the risk there, it's kinda risky, i mean, even for the most experienced guy, you can make mistake, and if you make mistake on these stuff, there's no turning back~~

i like the idea, i just can't do it myself~~

Posted by: Timsta

holy... use a lighter. to melt it on? haha. i don't wanna send my phones to cambodia..

Posted by: Frost C S

Wouldn't it be much better to use a heatgun, or a hairdryer to heat up the plastic?
Using a lighter seems far to dangerous.. and an expensive fix for a do it yourselfer....

Posted by: john0213

i say even heat gun will have the possibility to melt it, yes a hairdryer seems to be a good idea, i don't mind people saying i chicken out, but it's just putting too much of a risk to the phone~~~

Posted by: Timsta

hair dryer is okay but ur hands will get smoked.

Posted by: qlam79

Yeah, the hair dryer is a much safer option, except that it it not hot enought to heat up the plastic..and its rather bulky. Plus, the light the lighter for only miliseconds...so its never hot enough to melt the plastic. And also, the flame never touches the phone...only the plastic..so its pretty safe. Only thing is you need steady hands man!! Don't get gramps to do it..hahaaha

Posted by: Timsta

steady hands.. and bravery

Posted by: john0213

and $$$$$$$$ LOL

Posted by: Timsta

yah. a bit ofmoney. not too much. john u have lots of cash. don't play us like ur from the east side

Posted by: Kevbodian

best way to protect your 904 is to NOT USE IT!!!

on a recent survey (like 15 yrs ago; according to some guy's shirt), 9/10 kids prefer crayons to guns!

Posted by: Timsta

how old were the kids?
