Treo 700P & Sony BT

My Treo 700p won't sense/find my Sony HBH 662 bluetooth headset.
The headset works with the 700w and almost every other bluetooth phone VZW offers (even my old V710). Is this a norm when the PDA's are first released? Will they offer firmware updates or is there a hack to allow the headset to work? I mean come on, if it works with the 650 and the 700w, who knew they'd have it blocked on the 700p.
I mentionted this on another thread but I don't think it was the correct one so I thought I'd ask here. As to the voice dailing over the BT headset, I take that it as a NO it will never work. Is the screen that much worse on the 700w? I didn't pay much attention to it at the time I was in the store. Wondering if I should return the 700p before the 15 days are up. For some ODD reason I thought one of their most expensive phones would have ALL the features their other cheaper models have. I was quiet wrong.

That is pretty strange that the HBH-662 doesn't work with the 700p. I've also seen some threads about some BT headsets that don't work with the Treo. If you haven't been over to treocentral.com, check out the forums there.

The same issue here where the HBH-662 pairs without issue and then works for a few minutes while during a call it drops connectivity to the handset. I can however, reinitiate the communication by pressing the call pickup button which I've seen on some threads doesn't work for other users.
I'm going to have to make an assumption here that there's an issue with the Bluetooth 1.2 stack on the device and have been looking to see if there's any upcoming patches coming out for the device. Nothing yet, but maybe somebody here at HoFo has some more details.
