Unlocking SK II

I am travelling overseas a few times a year and instead of activating international roaming from T-Mobile, it is cheaper to insert a local SIM card. Is there a way to do this on my SK II? I have done it on my Blackberry. It is always nice to have a back up. Thanks.

It is technically possible to do, however difficult and probably not worth it. Firstly, TMobile apparently doesn't give unlock codes anymore for SK2's. Secondly, even if you got them to and put another carrier's SIM in, you'd only be able to use phone and mabye text messaging; no data.
