Hi,

I bought my SMT 5600 off of ebay and now it seems like the power button is stuck. I was unable to turn my phone off (until i removed the battery) and am now unable to turn the phone on. It appears as though the power button is not pressing down (could have something stuck underneath it).

Is it possible for me to open the phone up and check? I doubt it is a very technical problem as it is just the power button. Talking to Audiovox here in Canada they said that their main office in Toronto is the only authorized repair center for this phone and would cost a flat rate of $185+ tax.

Is there anything else I should try? I bought the phone for $190CAD so I don't know if I want to spend that amount again fixing a stuck power button.
