** NEW SIDEKICK 3 PICS! w/ MINI SD CARD CONFIRMED **

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Solearius

Looks like the SIDEKICK 3 will include a 64MB Mini SD Card which will EASILY be upgraded to a 1 or 2GB Mini SD Card.

Posted by: Paul_G

who's confirmed there will be a 64mb card included? I just see one in the pictures. Doesn't mean its included.

/cries in pure joy

Posted by: payroll

hiptop3.com saying its confirmed means nothing. You people need to really learn how to a rumor from a fact. A site that posts 5 different 'official' dates and says they have them ALL confirmed is not a good source.

i agree with hiptop3 not being the most legit but the pics didnt originate from that site, they just happened to get the pictures

That is definetly true, but just because there is a 64mb card in there they automatically assume that it is confirmed it comes with a 64mb card, but that is not true, maybe the random person who sent the pics in bought that card.

Posted by: InsideInfo

understood...Payroll, have you guys noticed that the pics are being blocked or taken down off every site they were on

Posted by: TmOcRaZy

Why can't we enlarge the pics on the hiptop3. com site? I mean the new ones.

Posted by: Solearius

Ok.

You're right. Maybe HIPTOP3.com isn't THAT reliable but from the pictures it IS possible that a 64MB Mini SD Card will be included with the Sidekick 3. Who really cares anyways. 64MB doesn't cut ANYTHING now a days. :P

Here are the pictures again..

Odd...I didnt remember seeing the marked out stuff earlier when I first saw the pictures, why are they like that now?

Posted by: Prom1

lol good eye ... thats because someone doesnt want to get fired because he/she knows that those little scratch out things are a good telltale sign of where he/she sits in his/her office ... and their coworkers would rate them out.

If you notice one of the last blurry pic, its a G7 not an E7, so does that mean its going to run GPRS?

GPRS & EDGE work together.

Posted by: Prom1

btw, not ALL device software will show an E = EDGE for edge connections. ie. not all Nokia phones with EDGE connections will show an E for EDGE connections. The Motorola V635i has EDGE class 6 but not all of the first shipped devices have teh firmware which shows the "E" for EDGE connection, early releases still show G.

this is sweet, I like the "music player" thing going on in the last pic, although this would make a rather blocky mp3 player

I can't wait for this Sidekick/Hiptop 3. I was wondering, I need to use it on a GSM 850 network. Why is T-Mobile, which operates GSM 850 as their main frequency releasing a phone that operates with GSM 1900?

Also, the Sidekick 2 has a GSM 850 version with SunCom Wireless, will there be a GSM 850 version of the Sidekick 3 (maybe the next SunCom or even Rogers version)?

Ian

Posted by: absolut_ian

and yes, it comes with MSN Messenger, Yahoo and AOL messenger built in

Posted by: RyanM

I just wish Cingular would offer this phone with T-Mobile prices...

Posted by: Prom1

I believe Tmobile's core network that is outright owned by them here in the USA is based on 1900Mhz ... most of the towers & switches that are in the 850mhz areas are partnered out, no????

Cingular with a SK? Not gonna happen until 1) Tmobile allows for it .... and 2> Cingular forks over HUGE cash!

remember Tmobile has a vested interest stake in Danger, INC. .... a partnership of binding financial backup with a clause ...... only certain competitors can have the Hiptop name, the brandname Sidekick which made Danger Inc on the map is Tmobile license. Rogers is just too far in bed with RIM to offer a direct messaging device to the consumer market that'll compete with 7100 based device sales ... plus at $20CAD ; oops yes thats right American's we too pay just $20 for unlimited data per month ... our dollar is still cheaper than yours ...; Rogers is just too greedy.

What about the Hiptop3 Boost Mobile Guide that was shown at the following link.

http://sidekick3.blogspot.com/2006_...k3_archive.html

How is it possible for Boost Mobile to get it? Boost Mobile operates on Sprint Nextel's iDen network and T-Mobile supposedly has an exclusive on the Sidekick 3.
