Cingular branded SLVR not seen by Mac iTunes

Here is the situation.

I bought 2 SLVR's from Cingular through CompUSA. One for myself and one for my friend. My SLVR connects and works fine with iTunes 6 installed on my PC. But her SLVR is not being detected by iTunes on her Mac (an iBook I believe). The phones are identical, they are definitely Cingular branded with official iTunes software installed (not the hacked non-US versions). Mine works with a PC, hers doesn't with a Mac.

What's the deal?

She is OK with computers but by no means an expert. I am not very familiar with Macs and even if I was I couldn't help her all that much since she lives in Florida and I live in Texas.

Is there any kind of iTunes support center that she could call? Or even e-mail support, SOMETHING. I have spent days scouring the Apple site and their customer support seems to be iPod related or none at all. There are zero help topics for cellphone/iTunes issues. Is there anyone we can call for help? Cingular? Motorola? Apple?

Has anybody else seen this issue?

Any idea how we can resolve this?

**One thing, I don't know if this matters, but I briefly connected her phone to my PC via the USB cable to download a pic I took, I never activated iTunes though. Could her phone have bonded with my PC somehow and that is why it is now not being detected by her Mac?
