Battery for RAZR

I looked at the battery in my RAZR.. its like a smoke gray with an "M" in the bottom right, but see no marking of the mAh, and I believe it is 3.7v.

Are there higher-mAh batteries that I can buy for the RAZR that aren't "bigger than normal"?

Get the BR50 that Motorola puts in the V3 now, Amazon has it, I just got a couple. $24.99 each.

The battery in my V3c is clearly marked 3.7 volts and 740 mAh. It is a white label or wrapper on the battery. I think the battery for the V3m is 3.7 volts but 770 mAh and should fit.

The BR50 is what is in my RAZR... looking against amazon image, its the exact same

but mine has no indication of mAh so... I don't know if there is higher or not!

I wouldn't recommend buying a non OEM battery just to get "up to" a couple more hours talk time while risking a short and melting your phone. I've heard that story WAY TOO many times. People buy those el cheapo batteries and they pay the price later. I'd just carry a second battery.

If you're really unhappy with your Razr battery life you can buy the extended battery which can hold a longer charge. You'll also need the replacement battery cover to accomodate the larger size. If you don't want to go that route buy a desktop charger and a spare battery.

Ok, I'm intrigued by this thread. I bought a new OEM BR50 battery so I can have a backup. My razr came with the white battery at left (and in the phone). the White battery says 3.6v AND 710. The BR50 says 3.7v but does NOT say 710. Will the black one hold more charge?

They're the same battery. No substantial difference, all though due to the nature of lithium ion batteries, the newer battery will probably hold a charge longer.

$33.90 for UPS ground? It only costs like $5 to ship that. I always list my stuff with free shipping because people bid like crazy on free ship items. A few months ago I sold an xbox 360 with two games with free shipping and it sold for $30 under the price I paid for it all. You should always start your stuff off at a penny. People like to see low bids and you'll get more people to watch your auction if it starts off at a penny. You need to block zero feedback bidders too before someone rips you off. I have always done these and have always made more than the auctions around me.

I just got a BR50 for my RAZR this week and it was only 9.99 with 4.99 shipping from newegg.com. It is an OEM battery. I really like the fact that it is black and the one that came with my phone is light gray so I can tell them apart. I just installed and charged it last night so I don't know about how long it is going to give me between charges but I couldn't believe the price.

Try typing BR 50 on eBay. Prices are below 10 bucks now (including shipping) for an OEM battery. I like the $10 deal for both an OEM BR50 with a desktop charger.

EDIT: I went ahead and ordered two batteries with two desktop chargers off eBay. Total cost was $17.15. Note the charger works by plugging your existing mini-B charging cord into desktop charger.

although i generally subscribe to the buy oem only theory, i was really wanting longer life (constant use of bluetooth really runs them down fast), i bought a battery on ebay - advertised as 1900 mah - li poly type. it is the exact same size as the oem pebl/v3 battery. i've only used it 2 1/2 days so far, but it is still showing two bars, whereas the oem's only give me 2 days tops. time will tell. $19.99 + $5.00 shipping

The battery for the RAZR is the BR50 or 2296A. I have not seen one with any higher ratings than the OEM battery and I would have to recommend against using anything other than an OEM battery.

Good deal. Make it better with the code "PAYPALFREE" and you get free shipping when paying with PayPal.
