Good news- Sony Ericsson continue to fund joint venture!

According to infosync.no Sony and Ericsson today announced that the two companies have decided to make an additional capital injection to their 50:50 jointly owned Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications venture. Sony and Ericsson will during the quarter ending March 31, 2003, contribute 150 million EUR each to SEMC, in order to strengthen the capital structure of SEMC and support business expansion.

Frankly, to be fair, I think Sony, with the masses of profits they made last year from PS2 and Spiderman, should fund the project a little bit more than Ericsson. Afterall, all we've seen so far in the technology side is Ericsson, isn't it? (T68i and P800 were both to be Ericsson flagships before the merger.) Ericsson=technology, Sony=money.
Sorry if this seems a bit shortsighted.
