Sharp 904sh Screen Protectors

Hey i'm new here

I was wondering which screen protectors you guys use for your sharp 904.

i've tried cutting up "theinvisibleshield" to put on the screen but it didn't work so well (lots of non clear parts) . I've also bought an eXim sharp 904 screen protector off eBay and it didn't quite fit the screen .. it was too small!...

So, I was wondering if you have any recommendations on which screen protectors to get (preferably ones that fit exactly the screen) because I don't want to scratch that beautiful screen

Posted by: lamplighter

Welcome to the forums lucid... Why not just get the cut to size protectors, they are cheap and you can get them anyewhere.
By the way, how do you like your 904T ?

Cheers, LL-

Posted by: lucidzero

cut to size protectors eh ? gotta find a place that actually sells those @@

the 904t is pretty good altho i prefer my 903 to it. One thing that annoys me though is that the phonebook names stored on my sim card cannot be arranged in alphabetical order... only by birthday and man its a pain to go through (or maybe there is an alphabetical order but i didn't figure out how @@)

http://cgi.ebay.com/2-5-DIGITAL-CAM...1QQcmdZViewItem

this is what i use and its slightly bigger than the exim ones. its also way cheaper as well. buy it now!!

Posted by: Timsta

eeek.. i hate cutting screen protectors. i just buy the premade 9ones from japan.

Posted by: lucidzero

After:
4 logix ipod video screen protectors cut to size
1 eXim sharp 904sh screen protector
2 psp invisible shield cut to size
3 box wave dell axim x50 cut to size

I have FINALLY successfully attached a screen protector w/ no air bubbles or dust ..

it took alot of cutting
alot of washing
alot of realignment
and then more cutting
to FINALLY successfully put on a screen protector for my sharp 904sh

FINALLY ZOMG!!!

I've been trying to put one on for the past 2 hours (the boxwave ones)

The problem seems to lie with the screen of the sharp 904sh its slightly raised so if your screen protector is too wide you will see a little air pocket !!!

so ya took me a while and i'm finally done

Posted by: Timsta

very nice nice.wow. u sure went thru alot

Posted by: pouting_girl

O__O;; why does it take so long or seem like such a hard task for you guys to put on a screen protector perfectly?

i did mine in 2 tries....

oh well...what can i say...girls are just more talented

Posted by: lucidzero

O RLY?

2 tries eh?

is there like ZERO dust underneath? and ZERO air pockets on the edges >_>

took me a while cuz i wanted those two things

Posted by: john0213

don't worry lucid, even if there's bubbles and dust pouting girl wouldn't notice it~

she's just too enjoying herself she's blinded from the flawed part...

oops.... *sneak and hide*

btw, tim, will you suggest any good screen protector for the 904sh and where to buy them?

Posted by: dingd0ng

Wow pouting girl, that is a nice girly sig!!! What do you think Tim?

Posted by: sketch143

i should make a umobile hard gay sig for aznboi

Posted by: Timsta

i will suggest 904sh screen protectors once i get a chance to test some out.. i like the japanese ones. .the cailans and the screen masks are pretty good. but i don't wanna cut.. i'm much too lazy for that. so i'll just wait for th eones to be made to come out first

as for pout's signature.. its relaly nice i think. cool. thanks for hte support!!

Posted by: wee1031

just incase customs decided to tax my new phone =(

*stares and gets her bat ready*

and yes, i could apply it w/o any bubbles or dust....i used tape to clean my screen first...

Posted by: lucidzero

pouting_girl must be pretty skilled to do that hmmm maybe you can start a business selling screen protectors with $1 application fee :P

Posted by: pouting_girl

start a business? no thanks...but you could convince umobile to hire me =P

Posted by: sketch143

yeah.. today, i finally got myself to take off the screen protector that came with the phone.. even with the crappy screen protector on, i thought the screen was amazing. After i took it off.. i was like for a while.. haha amazing screen.

Posted by: azn_boi_128

hard gay sig for me? nah i want an ultra kewl one haha ... smth like doremon =D hahaha

Posted by: azn_boi_128

but i think the one i have now is good enough =D

Posted by: lucidzero

oh man, today i peeled off the screen protector i put on yesterday cuz i saw that it wasn't protecting like 1mm of screen @@ ZOMGGGGGGGG! back to the drawing board.... going to go buy more screen protectors... i swear by the time i'm done successfully putting on a screen protector i would have spent more than the phone itself @@

Posted by: john0213

lucid... talking about idealist.....

that 1mm wouldn't bother you that much isn't it?

Posted by: Timsta

u mean perfectionist?

Posted by: lucidzero

yeppppppppp well i tend to notice these things since the phone is not in use

Posted by: Timsta

hahaha.. thats cool. alot of us are like that. i can't stand to have any scratches on my phone

Posted by: lucidzero

ya scratches are like cryable moments
lol

I gotta wait till next week to see the ebay screen protectors I bought and see if they actually work lol

OH well.... i'm thinking by the time i successfully apply a screen protector the unlock will be out :P

Posted by: Timsta

how much are you spending on these protectors? 5-10 bucsk each?

Posted by: azn_boi_128

i need one... been cutting from these daiso ones lol buble everytime =D

Posted by: lucidzero

ya bout $5-$10 ea i think i spent like $70 on them now LOL... =(

Posted by: john0213

that's A LOT OF money for screen protectors.....

Posted by: sketch143

daiso baby! get those big ones from daiso.. for portable dvd players and just cut like crazy man. =)

Posted by: lucidzero

guess i have to head to daiso

Posted by: Timsta

those are really poor quality....

Posted by: lucidzero

lol i would figure >_>

oh well i'll wait for my other eBay ones and hope they work.. maybe i'll just forget about cutting the 2.5" ones and just shove em on ya kno >_<

damn i really wish new phones would actually come with a screen protector already fitted on them... like not the one the 904 came with cuz that's just like cheap plastic ... like actual good quality screen protectors fitted on new phones... that would save most of us alot of time and alot of grief :P

Posted by: Timsta

well the daiso ones fall off.. thats what crappy about them. i ahte them.

haah. you're gonna have a ton of ebay screen protectors.

Posted by: lucidzero

ya they shud be coming this week... it better work this time or else i'm goign to go insane

Posted by: totaltoanage

omg buy the one i told you to get from ebay! they work great and fit precisely. i havent had any problems with them whatsoever.

Posted by: john0213

total, what was the brand you suggest again?

btw i thought cheap screen protector will leave grease on your screen that takes some effort to rub it off~~

Posted by: Timsta

total suggesed the marc ellison brand or something. i ahven't even tried that one myself yet

Posted by: totaltoanage

Its a JDM type screen protector. you know how the 904sh has that little indented border of the screen, well the screen protector covers most of it unlike exims protectors. the protector is made for 2.5" LCD devices and doesnt leave a residue afterwards. its also very inexpensive, like 5 USD a pop.

Posted by: sketch143

what's the name? o-o

Posted by: totaltoanage

go to page 1 and its under the ebay link i posted

Posted by: lucidzero

ya i did buy it.. i'm waiting for it lol...

Posted by: lucidzero

i'm going to double post.. lol

got the screen protector in today the one that totaltoanage told me to buy.. and ya i have to say it does work pretty well... i got pretty fed up w/ screen protectors so i left this one on there's like a little air bubble on top left corner and i was just like **** it -_- lol

well ya it works pretty good thanks

Posted by: totaltoanage

if theres an air bubble, take a piece of tape and stick it to that side and lift up and gently let it back down and use a credit card or the thing it comes with to smooth out the edge.

Posted by: Timsta

nice nice!!

Posted by: lucidzero

tape thing didn't rly work lol

Posted by: azn_boi_128

man.. i want one... the screen protector i have on it sux!@

Posted by: no3no4

I'm using this..

Posted by: Timsta

hey.. tis the actual vodafone brand screen protector

Posted by: azn_boi_128

Whoa where you get that i want that!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Timsta

from vodafone japan.. duh.!~

Posted by: azn_boi_128

i know but i want one need someone to help me

Posted by: Timsta

i don't like the generic stuff voda makes.. i rather go with a aftermarket one for things like these. just in general.. they make ita bit higher quality and probalby same price. no offense!

Posted by: azn_boi_128

but does it cover as well as voda ones?

Posted by: Timsta

yes of course. but i can ask about the voda ones. i can probably carry those

Posted by: lucidzero

the one that toanage recommended is good i also recommend it it fits well

Posted by: Timsta

cool. maybe i should go find a supplier for it

Posted by: azn_boi_128

yea... find supplier me 1st buyer

Posted by: Timsta

yah.. its on my long list of things to do...
