Major malfunctions with CDM 8910!

Hello, I just joined the forum trying to figure out what's going on with the verizon 8910 that I purchsed brand new from ebay about 5 months ago. It was working fine up until the other night, when it started acting possessed - it will just start taking pictures randomly, and I'm not talking about accidentally hitting the button, this is when its on a table in front of me. When this happens, it is using the sub LCD. Occasionally, when its taking one of these random pictures, you can see on the sub LCD that the image is jumping back and forth. It is also powering down mid-conversation and will not always go back on unless I take out the battery and put it back in. The camera thing is causing my battery to drain, granted, but the power-down is happening even when I have ample battery power left. Now I am not the least bit technical like the rest of you guys seem to be, so 1) I have not screwed with data cables or anything else and 2) please word your answer in laymans terms. Finally, I wish I could search only within the 8910 sticky, but I couldn't figure out if this was possible. Any help would be appreciated!
