Do the original 8265 faceplates fit on a 8260?

They look like they would fit but I want to make sure before I buy the faceplate. I really like the look of the 8265 and want to make my old 8260 look like that. does anyone own both? if not anyone know where I can get a 8260>8265 conversion plate?

I'll check later on today, my wife has both phones.

I've tried it before, actually I tried to put the 8260 on the 8265, and if I remember correctly...it'll fit, but the keypads don't match up, so you can't press all the buttons.

let me know what you come up with...

TIA

No, you can't use 8260 faceplates on a 8265 or 8265 faceplates on a 8260. My suggestion - get a 8265, add's some nice stuff

I couldnt cause Rogers wouldnt load the ESN for me without a lot of coaxing and manouvering... plus Im just looking for a way to revamp an old 8260 for my Mom

yeah, it doesn't fit. you'd have to change out the keypad area cause only a few of the hit pads actually match. plus the 8265 is a tab bit wider.

I currently have a 8260 and may also go to the 8265 because my buddies all have it and it gets many more bars of signal than my 8260 (plus they paid less for the 8265).
