Would it work if i put R374_G_0E.42.0ER_reflash onto my v557?

I basically want the phone book functionality of the v3, how you can have multiple phone numbers for the same person with just one listing...

any help in this would be greatly appriciated.

BESIDES IF YOU CAN READ THE FLASH OF YOUR V557 PLEASE SEND IT TO ME,
I NEED IT, I TRIED TO DO THE UNLOCK AT ONE MOTOROLA V557 AND NOW IT DOESNT TURN ON, SO PLEASE IF YOU CAN, HELP ME, AND DONT DO THE REFLASH WITH THAT FILE, I THINK THERES STILL NO SUPPORT FOR THAT PHONE

For one, the V3 has less features than the V557. For two, you'll trash your phone if you flash it with anything other than what was intended for it. And for three, if you just RTFM you'll probably find the concept of showing only the Primary Contact for each entry. Should be all right there in the menus...

And for the umpteenth+1 time, there is NO monster pack or flash available for the V557. If you brick it, it stays a brick. One wonders why one would want to unlock it anyway - the ticker won't work anywhere but on Cingular that I know of...

Well, i know how to display primary contacts, but that still displays each name for each different phone number, be it, work, cell, home or what have you.

And on the razor, it only shows one name, and you can scroll through different phone numbers for that ONE name, not having 3 of the same name for 3 different phone numbers.

If you store all your contacts in the phone memory and not on the SIM then the display primary contact setting trick will work. My v557 phonebook works exactly like the phonebook on my brothers razr.
