So I did some searching and found out that with the studio software from samsung you are able to edit and move contacts from your phone to the sim and back. Or copy from the phone and put them on the sim card. Just thought you all should know as there is no menu option on the phone.

I just got the Samsung wired headset, the stereo one with two earbuds and it works pretty well. I got it from Samsung's website for ~$15 shipped, not a bad deal, now I can use the phone as a decent mp3 player for small stuff, like walking to and from school every day. For those of you on macs, I just got the program Popcorn 2.0 by Roxio and it allows simple, rapid conversion of video files to the 3gp file format. I suggest you check it out. Also, FFmpegX seems to work well. |
(most of them are self explanatory) but I'm not 100% on all of them...

*#0228#/*#9998*228# Battery profile Second I cant seem to figure out how to add the / in. There is not option for symbols. Thanks The code *#0228# is the same as the *#9998*228# code as the forward slash is just a separator. The code just lets you know the status of the battery in terms of charge left. It will not allow you to turn off the "Low Battery" warning. Moderator HF 18 |

What we need is the OEM firmware (non-Cingular) to reflash it or rebrand it (however its called) and then play with their functions; functions that are so basic like changing the slider sound is not possible thanks to Cingular.
) from where we can start, that would be nice. Im so interested in this that Im willing to learn Symbian or w/e language this OS is written and help myself!

Guess what they said; it was a carriers code/passwords. *slaps head*. So yeah, don't bothering calling them up about it, I tryed just about every method of trying to get them to tell me it, that is, if they even knew it. All I got was alot of sorry's and pointing to the other guy. Hope we can find a way to crack it, I really would like to be able to use a function built into the phone such as installing Midlets from a MicroSD card rather than having to download them.
