i love my s710a soo much and i really hate that it is broken, but it is! if cingular wont replace it for me, then what should i get, here are the things that i disliked about the s710a.. 128mb technical limit, no full screen video, no ff on video, not really high quality video.. is there a better camera phone made by sony? one with more storage capability, full screen and ff? what is the model number of the best phone by sony, i dont want a pda style phone or whatever, i would rather keep it around the same size as the s710a or smaller, i love the s710a but it could be a little better, i was really not wanting to get a new phone bc i bought a few 128 sticks and everything.. i love it but if i have to trade i would love to go better.. oh and i dont want to pay more than 400$ for a new phone so maybe not the best of the best, but pretty close to it haha.. help!

or u can get the w900i...it takes Pro Duo memory cards those get up to 2gb in size. its about the same size as the s710 altough it can be sumwut expensive...

At the moment, the best SE available is probably the W900i, but it's tri-band and not optimized for use in North America. Assuming you live in North America, go for the W810i. It's simply a brilliant, quad-band phone.

I thought that the K750i was the best phone but with it being only tri-band and me living on North America, I couldn't get the coverage that I wanted. So I went to the W810i, and I'm lovin' it. It takes a Memory Stick PRO Duo card, capable of upto 2GB. You can record in either MMS format video (3GP, lower quality) or in MP4 format video (MPEG-4) for higher quality. Takes good quality photos with the 2MegaPixel camera as well.

Is that New? Where did you get it from. Thats the cheapest price I have seen shipped. That price sounds to good to be true.

uh... first of all, i dont know why all you guys are saying the w810i is the best phone out there... the w900i is the clear winner in every area. the only thing is the k800/k790 camera, which is a little better. besides that, the w900i not only has the best features of all the SE phones out right now, but its also a swivel form factor just like your s710. everything you mentioned about memory is also in the w900i with its 500mb onboard and expandable memstick slot up to 4gb (and 8gb we are hoping for pretty soon). also with your video issues, the w900i has a nVidia GoForce chip that allows it to record videos at 30fps. you can also encode full movies on your computer at 320x240 at 30fps and watch full movies at fullscreen and ff and everything you wanted. in fact i just got done watching King Kong (it took like 3 hours to finish its so damn long) and it was very smooth the whole way through...

w900i for the win!

The reason that a lot of people say the W810i instead of the K800 or W900i is because most of the people on these forums are from North America (either USA or Canada) and some of us require the 850 band on the W810i.

I'd say W900 or K800. I've owned both and IMO they are both solid phones. The W810 is the best phone with 850 but not the best phone in the SE lineup... The W900 has the best video capabilities but the K800 has the best snapshot capbilities and has an awesome QVGA display.

HELL YES I ordered from her. She sounds really sketchy, her communications suck, and whenever I ask for an update she says some variation of "don't worry it will be there". Only reason I ordered from her was because she had a 400+ rating. Now it has been 12 business days since my payment and still haven't received anything. Although on her feedback there are some recent feedback left indicating that her products take a while.

In short, I don't know whether to file a PayPal claim or not. I have messaged her twice after her claimed "10th business day" of delivery for an update, and have gotten nothing. Did you win an actual auction? Or buy it the same way I did?

Update on my situation, latest message I got from loriguinan:

I got four of my phones returned for not enough postage I am remailing now USPS it goes out in the morning.
I have also included 20.00 for the shipping delay.

She also included a tracking number.

So I got this package for a net cost of $324 shipped! I feel kinda bad though for some reason, I will probably end up PayPaling her $20 back.

No, this lady does not even reply to my e-mails anymore. I filed a dispute and she did not reply so i raised it to a claim. She has yet to respond to the claim. That probably means that she did not ship mine out

I hope it is otherwise though. She claims she shipped mine out, yet refuses to give me a tracking number. Seems rather s k e t c h. Anyways, give me an update on your situation because I have been waiting forever for this phone and her replies. When did you pay for your item?

Dunno, it still just says Electronic Postage Info received. Generally takes a day or two for that to be updated, and by that time its in my town. Whenever I sell on Ebay and print out my postage online, this happens as well. I'll keep you posted though...

lol.. this is why i canceled with her. it sounded too good to be true. ALL those accessories PLUS a 2gb stick for 345? TOO good of a deal man.. too bad she doesnt even have the item. I think she is just BSing and trying to hold back the date because she doesnt want to refund the money. I made her refund the money and I caught her immediately when she tried to play this sketchy game. I just bought one from llcellular and it was 350 shipped. If i were you, I would file a dispute. She threatened to give me negative feedback if I gave her negative feedback. Who the hell tries to threaten you with bad feedback besides a sketchy a$s seller? I do not believe that she has the item because all her items are books on eBay, she barely replies to questions, and she lies. "I was in the hospital, hence I could not e-mail you back" That is just a BS excuse to try to get her more time. I got tired of her BS and filed a dispute and got my money back. She refunded it immediately because she knows I don't play those games. Good luck

We have 45 days from the date of transfer of money to file a dispute, according to PayPal. So that's a couple weeks into August for me. So I wonder if I should wait even a couple more weeks, which sounds ridiculous, but I'm in no hurry to get the money back, just getting tired of my generic e635.

However I can't find any feedback regarding w810i's in her profile, can anyone else?

Yeah, I got my W810 yesterday. I ordered another one from a different seller on Sunday afternoon. He shipped it Sunday and I got it Wednesday. That is how a real seller deals with these kinds of situations. You do not WAIT 10 days for some random reason to ship it off. I wish we could get her kicked off of ebay. I asked her if she could ship me the item, and that if she did I would paypal her the same amount she deserved; she never replied to me again. Just fishy that she said she was in the hospital, but when I look at her feedback, she is still making transactions.

Yeah, which shouldn't be a problem if she actually shipped out like she said. I've used the online postage plenty of times before to send out things I won on eBay, and the tracking always updates in at least a couple of days.

she refunded me like the next night i believe. i checked my e-mail and got the refund. I was like wow, so i was right... she threw me off in the beginning cause she flipped out when I was curious about my item. I asked her why it was taking so long to simply reply to an e-mail, and then she tells me that I am too pushy of a buyer. That is when she tells me she was in the "hospital", and doing transactions at the same time (according to feedback). The ending dates of the auctions were all dates that lie in the time gap she refused to reply to my emails.

I just logged on to PayPal and found the following.....

Jul. 13, 2006 Refund Completed

Lori: "I will return any feedback left. Yes there was a delivery problem the item was returned to me. I am so sorry please forgive me. I have over 300 feedbacks and am a long standing ebay member there is no fraud here. If you leave bad feedback so will I."

As expected, PayPal "reviewed" the case and determined that since she had provided a confirmation number, this is also sufficient confirmation as to the contents of the package and closed the case. I filed a USPS mail fraud claim last night, but don't know what else to do short of showing up at her door.

Any advice for further action, or am I just ****ed out of $334? TIA.

If you filed it as item not received, you're gonna have to turn to your credit card company to hit up paypal (if you paid using your balance, you're pretty much screwed). Also, if you said not as described, then you still have a chance.

No. Her previous positive feedback was from little cheap things of no real value, I suspect to get her feedback up so she could pull a scam. And she's suddenly not a member anymore after all these scam reports came up. Doesn't add up.

I found Lorelei Guinan's number and just called her.

This woman also ripped me off for a cell phone on Ebay. I sent her $320 by paypal, and she never sent me anything. So I found her number on line and called her. A woman picked up and when I asked for Lorelei, she asked "what is this concerning?" When I told her it was for an ebay transaction, she said she was not Lorelei, but knew who she was. Yeah right. She sounded really nervous and defensive.

The call usually goes to a voicemail for a business, but if you are persistent, she will eventually pick up. Please, everyone call her and demand that she does the right thing.
