PEBL U6 Help Needed!!!

Hi there! I am new to tyhis forum thing. But after reading some of these threads, I see that there is help out there. I am from Canada and just recently purchased a Moto Pebl U6. The most beautiful Moto out to date in my opinion. Anyways, The problem that I seem to be having is that I cannot connect to the Internet, use MMS messaging and no Java games will load up. My carrier informs me that they do not have the updated software to fix these problems, but when I contact Motorola, they inform me that they have a fix for the problem. They call it the "approved canadian software upgrade". It runs off the Fido network, which is owned by the Roger's network. The downfall is that they want $150 for the software. I really don't see the need to spend that kinda money for something so simple. I have found some new firmware upadates, but I am skepticle of the update. I really would not like to fry my phone. As well, I need the RSD Lite program and cannot seem to find where to download it. Can anyone Plllleeeeeaaasssseeee help me out??????
