Try MP3 Trimmer.

You don't have to buy the software if you can live with the warning.
But I did buy it, those warning are too annoying.

There is a great article in MacAddict this month that shows you how to do this using iTunes.

Summary:
Select a song. > Get Info. Select the start time and end time of the MP3. Then convert that song to MP3 (again). You may want to change the import settings.

Genius! Took me a second to figure it out, but finally got it. Maybe the most informative and useful post EVER. (For me at least!)

hmmm...i think a link would greatly benefit everyone

True. I'm sure the MacAddict link would've saved me some time had there been one.

But JetBlack330's summary was fairly accurate. Here's a step by step on how I do it:

Step 1. Select a song in iTunes
Step 2. Go to "File" then "Get Info".
Step 3. Go to the "Options" tab.
Step 4. Select the start time and end time of the MP3, click "OK".
Step 5. Now from iTunes (with your song selected still) go up to "Advanced".
Step 6. Now select "Convert Selection to MP3"
Step 7. It should appear in your iTunes in the "Recently Added"

Or at least that's how my iTunes is setup. Hope that helps.
