Slider remix: Killed over...

My slider remix killed over(endless reboot cycle, the main circuit board died)... so i tried to tamper with it. Voided it's warrenty... I did whatever it took to fix it, but no go...
I'm parting it out... for those who have broken something on their slider remix... I will take best offer on anything listed (I accept paypal). Everything is in excellent condition, if not perfect.
-Back housing of the back half of the phone(with slide brackets & screws)
-Front housing to the back half of the phone (keypad)
-Battery cover
-Whole front half of the phone (LCD, send/end/d-pad/back, with plastic housing still installed)
-Camera module
-Battery (holds perfect charge, not used for very long)
-USB Data cable... used to load mp3's, 3gp videos, ringtons, etc...
-Power adapter charger
-I have a 1gb memory card for this phone, i had over 200 mp3s on here, a ton of camera videos, hundreds of pictures, etc... I am not sure if i want to sell the memory card, if anyone gives me a good offer on it, i will consider.

Mine has done the same... does anyone have a clue on how to fix it? I haven't tampered with any of the boards or anything... should I just take it back to alltel and ask for a replacement? I just bought the phone two weeks ago...

If you havent voided the remix and the damage wasnt caused my water or misuse, they will give you a new one.. Or at least they did to me and the only thing that was wrong with it was the camera, the rest of the phone worked fine..

yeah, my bad. my mistake. im screwed.. i think i want to go with the e815 moto now... not too sure. something that has bluetooth OBEX that works...

Man, Im pretty sure mine just killed over and died too.. It was all my fault though the alltel store dont have to know that...lol I was messin in the KPST and changing some stuff.. Things I thought I knew what they were.. Minor stuff like Video Messages Sending Limit and stuff like that then and then I hit write all and now my phone will not turn on.. It goes through the start of the opening where it shows Kyocera and then it flashes and shuts off and then restarts it self. The only way I can get it to stop is to take the battery out.. Yeah, I think im screwed as well.. Looks like a trip to the alltel store 2moro unless anybody has any suggestions.
The E815 looks pretty nice.. It came out like the day after I bought the slider.. I dont see anything on it thats better then the Slider or the Razr but still a nice phone..
Is there anyway I can get the contacts off my phone while its turned off.. I didnt think there was but it doesnt hurt to ask...lol

The more I read the opening post, Im pretty sure thats what mine did.. Endless reboot cycle and all.. I guess my motherboard could of died and maybe it didnt have to do with the KPST.. Could of been a big coincidence..

Yeah it could have been a coincidence... on mine there is a metal block(probably something that has to do with the radio or gps) that was soldered to the board, and it looks as if it sizzled its self off... thats why it would endlessly reboot because one of it's devices wouldn't initialize. I have no idea how this happened, but i know that is what was causing it. ... i shouldnt have tried to fix it myself, i was too confident lol..

i believe it is. but alltel gave me a new phone, no questions... of course, it was only 12 days after i purchased it in the first place...

and i think it really could have had to do with me using about 95% of my computer resources while trying to transfer the stuff in the first place.

i think i may have messed something up with mine too cuse u know how when u leave ur phone idle for a couple min the screen goes black? well now when someone tries to call me when the screen goes black nothing shows up no picture or number or anything..so im gunna take it to alltel and see what they can do...but from if they give me a new phone im just gunna use KPST once and not use it again

Yeah, im kind of weiry about using KPST again... I got a new phone from Alltel today but im sure they wont give me another one for the same problem so I dont want to lose this one.

well my phone wasnt messed up it was the settings but im still not gunna use kpst anymore unless someone finds something else you can do with it

I just used it once since I got it, to enable the games and change the video length, and it scared the begeesus out of me because it looked like it was doing the same reboot cycle... i swear, i almost had a heart attack.

For me, i don't think kpst caused anything. My phone was acting stupid when I first got it before I tried any programming at all. All the changes I made to my phone worked just fine... but it still acted the same, randomly restarting... i will have to post a picture of the circuit board of my phone and show the part that had fallen off.
