SVG (scalable vector graphics) wanted.

Since this is the theme area, I'm going to ask publicly for anyone who has any VECTOR graphics (.svg) to post them. .svg means SCALABLE VECTOR GRAPHICS, and thats what Nokia's theme studio wants.

I'm no graphic artist, and I don't even know the first thing about vector based graphic apps... but since I just had this conversation in PM's, I thought I'd post publicly too for anyone who has the knowledge or ability to convert or create graphics.

If you have any .svg graphics you'd like to share - and don't mind sharing, and/or seeing in future themes - PLEASE POST THEM!

There are TONS of free server hosts... yourfilehost.com, rapidshare.de, uploading.com, and when all else fails, google it!

Any submissions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Voiceless... and good to see you over here too

I've tried Illustrator and another one called Sketch (or something like that)... vector drawing apps are very complex for my brain - I guess I'm too stupid to use them. I can draw the simple stuff (lines, boxes, etc) but when I try to add the second layer - it doesnt show up.

Example: I have tried to import a analog clock face from TS3.0 into illustrator, and do something simple like change the color, add a single line of text, whatever. When I save the .svg back out - and let TS3.0 re-import the changed graphic - I do not see any change at all.

Perhaps I'm saving in the wrong format? or using the wrong options? I DUNNO. I have tried many times but I am only able to see the BASE layer of whatever I'm trying to edit.

Isn't converting PNG to SVG with illustrator possible?

Posted by: Toaster

Can you???? I've tried importing graphics (maybe not specifically .png) into illustrator, but saving them out doesnt produce anything better than the original image.

The scalable .svg I've seen are, to use a single word: AWESOME

It looked okay in S60 v3 theme studio, but the icons are all ruined when the theme is installed on my phone. See: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=923771

Who is the author of this theme; is he on howardforums? http://www.danschwartz.org/phone.html I doubt he use vector graphics because just redrawing them is a hell of a work and doens't give those natural results. I really wonder which (icon)tools he used to gain such incredible results.
