hi. i cant figure out how to get a mp3 ringtone to be my default ringtone, i have the option to choose "use as ringtone" in the media section, but it doesn't work. I guess it has something to do with my themes but i know it used to work before (on other s/w versions). i have fiddled with most settings on the phone and have rounded up it can be that 0ER does not have a "custum" option in themes menu. any insigts or tips?

when you add new sounds which show up in the sounds list, you also have to delete the two .db audio files - when you rerstart the phone this causes the phone to rebuild the ringtone list and your mp3 should then be selectable.

hoi! I just have to say GREAT!! to both of you

The tutorial page had so much useful information and downloads, and the deleting of the two db files worked right away. Now i can have the ctu-ringtone again! thanks

If you use P2KTools new to upload your mp3 tones, click on the "melody db" fix button at the top, and the application will repair the tone db; click restart and you should be good to go.
