Ok here are some more as I am learning how to use my new BB 8700G... which I absolutely love!

- What is PIM? What is it used for?

- I've got everything synced with my Outlook at home but can't figure out how to sync the POP3 account I use.

- Are there any GMAIL programs for BB?

- What is the proper ringtone format and image format for the 8700G?

That's all for now. Thanks.

- PIM is your address book, to-do list/tasks, calendar, short version of saying personal information manager (management)

- You can either setup a POP3 account using the Internet email icon on the BB or logon to your tmobile account and setup internet email there.

- There are no specific GMAIL applications, but for maps, you can use Google's map program. Browse on your BB to http://www.google.com/gmm

- Ringtones work in MP3 format for sure, and I believe in WAV.

Shape Services has a GMail program @ http://www.shapeservices.com/eng/im/GMAIL/

You can also go to GMail from your BB Browser and get full control over the GMail Inbox.

How do I get my POP3 account synced on my BB and outlook? I got everything else synced but that.

Also, I have my SENT email messages to be hidden... how can I view them without having to change the option everytime (if that is possible)

If you do a search you'll find info that will help you as some of the questions you have asked about have been covered before.

I searched for Outlook sync but I only get information on how to do it with BES, I only have BIS on my service.

Also, I'm trying to view my sent messages in my POP3 and pressing ALT+0 does not bring it up.

You can not sync a POP account on your BB with Outlook using BIS. The local desktop sync'ing only transfers contacts, tasks, calendar, & notes. There is no direct easy method to sync email besides using BES.

You need to go to your e-mail options and choose to show your sent messages. They'll have a checkmark next to the sent messages.

Is there no way to view the sent messages withouit having to change the option everytime?

Also, if I get BES service, will I then be able to use my POP3 account synced with outlook?

The only way I know how to see sent messages is to change that option.

BES and POP3 don't really work together. If you want to use a hosted BES service, you can sync calendar, contacts, mail, etc, but that would be a seperate account, not a POP3 to the BB.
